Lovely spot!!

  • 5 of 5

Great house, very cosy and lots of things to keep kids busy on wet days when you're stuck indoors. Close to penguin viewing and central to all day trips. Definitely recommend to anyone travelling around the north west of Tasmania with a big family.

Old noisy property

  • 3 of 5

We booked this property wanting to fall asleep to the waves crashing, instead had to put up with the constant traffic noise from the Bass Highway. "The traffic NEVER stops", we had to wear earplugs just to fall asleep. We were there on a public holiday so I'd hate to see a normal day, just terrible!

I don't think this property can be classified as a beach house. Once you walk across the busy Bass Hwy, which sits between you and the water, there is no beach just a rocky foreshore & disused railway track. The driveway is difficult to access & steep to park on. House is old & musty smelling, cluttered with ceramic collectables. The front security door doesn't close, it's broken.

Bathrooms nicely renovated & beds comfortable.

Owner's Response: Hi Nicole - I am sorry but the house is elevated well above the road minimising any traffic noise & none of our previous guests have said it is an issue. The other issues have been addressed. Many thanks Alan & Allison
