4 bedroom, 2 bath home on year round trout stream
About Kim Wood
Throughout the years, staying in a cabin in the mountains is one of our family's favorite ways to vacation. We've been to North Carolina in the past, but this year decided to try the North Georgia mountains. In the spring of 2016, we ended up staying at a cabin about a mile away from Still Waters and immediately fell in love with the area. Our kids had a blast fishing, swimming, and tubing in the cool waters of Fightingtown creek. We loved horseback riding, hiking, and checking out the waterfalls nearby. The people in the area are the best and the quaintness of the Blue Ridge so welcoming. When the opportunity to purchase Still Waters came up, we immediately jumped on it! Our primary driver was to share our love for the area with as many people as possible and we sincerely hope that you will love Still Waters and the North Georgia area as much as we do.

We chose this cabin for this years family getaway and it did not disappoint!!!The place was roomy and clean. We spent most of the time on the deck, in the hot tub and making s'mores!!! The little ones couldn't get enough of the swing!!! The only thing I would suggest adding i
Good location between Blueridge and Mckaysville
Great location, very quiet and secluded, yet close to activities.
We absolutely loved our week at this cabin. It’s very CLEAN and COMFY. The pictures don't do justice to how amazing this cabin really is. We loved listening to the relaxing sounds of the river right outside. The kids loved seeing the lightening bugs at night. We enjoy our trip into town with all the shops and just a short drive away went on a family friendly waterfall hike. We would definitely stay here again.
Fun Family Vacation on the River
Our family had a blast. Our kids loved the river. We tubed, used our own inflatable boat and they explored a little mud beach just across the river from the house (where they found bear tracks!) The house was very comfortable. I didn't realize from the listing photos that 2 of the bedrooms are lofts (although i realize now it says it in the wrote up, i just didn't read it originally). I thought it might be a problem with our kids keeping each other awake but it worked out great and they thought it was a blast to sleep in their own lofts. The yard was great, and they also loved the rope swing. The house is located much closer to downtown Blue Ridge than I thought, which was very convenient. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We loved our week at this cabin. We could not have asked for a more perfect location. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and so cutely decorated. Our family loved the campfires, the soothing sounds of the river, and the occasional visits from the deer. Definitely hope to stay again. Just wish we had the time to spend 2 weeks instead of one!
My five young kids, husband and I traveled down to Blue Ridge Mountains from WI to enjoy some sunshine and nature. The cabin is great for that - adorably decorated, super comfy beds, bedding, awesome washer/dryer and vacuum (all a big deal if you have five kids!) and the mountains & rivers were unbelievably gorgeous. The deck and hot tub as well as the dock/lower deck were great for getting sun. The caretaker is wonderful, helpful, and they were able to accommodate flexible check in / out which was a huge bonus when traveling via road trip with our kids. Our only issues were gnats at times but campfire smoke helped that and the river was surprisingly faster / deeper than it appeared in pictures but we didn’t inquire ahead of time about that - the kids did still manage to swim to other side in life jackets which was an adventure! Also, the deck / railings inside and out aren’t very helpful for keeping small kiddos safe but we did fine - deck is a bit rough, bring flip flops - quite a few slivers but our kids refuse to wear shoes! In short, if you Are looking for a private peaceful escape and you love nature, I recommend!
Thank you so much for your review. It was my pleasure to accommodate your request for early check in. So sorry about the gnats, they've been bad this spring. The river will run faster if we've had rain. Good comment about railings, we'll look into that. Thanks so much, Kim
