About the property

This gorgeous 3 bedroom cottage is located in Parkside - close to Adelaide CBD - either to walk, cycle or public transport to surrounds. Only minutes to King William Road and the up-market Unley Rd precincts famous for restaurants, shopping boutiques and cafes.

The cottage has the charm of an older cottage with the comfort of a modernised home.

Generous and fast WiFi Internet allowance is provided at no charge. The house is fitted with ducted heating and cooling for all weather comfort.

There are three bedrooms, lounge dining area with modernised kitchen and bathroom (with shower and bath). The cottage is fully self contained and suited to business groups, families or larger groups. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the second bedroom has a double base bunk with a single bed above. The third bedroom has two sets of single bunks (4 beds). Cot can be provided upon request. Sleeping up to 9 in total plus baby/toddler, makes City-Side by the Park an ideal family get away, family reunion, business or wedding groups.

The house is bright and cheerful with large spacious open plan lounge and kitchen area overlooking a courtyard garden and outdoor setting. There are polished floor boards throughout.

The modern kitchen has electric cook-top and oven, microwave, dishwasher, filtered water, quality cookware, crockery and utensils. The pantry is stocked with basic cooking requirements including spices, oil, stock, condiments, teas and coffee. All you need to do is bring yourself and some food if you would like to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped!

There is an enclosed shady backyard where pets can explore or doze while owners are otherwise engaged. The tree-lined streets and period style homes offer a very pleasant and picturesque setting, perfect for a quiet stroll through this highly sought after heritage suburb of Adelaide.

Costs are calculated on the number of guests nominated at the time of booking (based on a minimum tariff of 2 adults (twin share) plus a tariff for each additional guest). Costs include all linen (quilts, sheets, pillows/covers and towels) as well as exit clean. Rates may vary according to seasonal fluctuations and demand. A discounted rate can be offered for longer stays and through the winter months.

The number of beds and bedrooms made available for each stay depends on the number of guests agreed at the time of booking confirmation. Bedroom 1 is prepared for the minimum tariff of 2 adults (twin share). Additional beds and bedrooms are made available by negotiation and with payment of the appropriate tariff for the additional guests.

City-Side by the Park will accept pet bookings when arrangements have been made in writing with the owner at the time of booking. Owners bring their pets at their own volition and no responsibility is accepted by City-Side by the Park. Each pet is $10 per night with food and water bowls provided.

The house is in a fabulous location. It is a short walk through the famous Adelaide parklands to the cafes in Hutt St, city and the Central markets. Close to some Adelaide's best restaurants and shopping areas such as Burnside, Unley, Hyde Park and the Norwood Parade. It is a fifteen minute drive to the beautiful Adelaide Hills to the East and similarly to the white sandy beaches such as Henley Beach and Glenelg. The wineries of the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale or the Barossa Valley are also easily accessed from here from this central location.

We were thrilled with this place, ample space plenty of crockery and cooking requirements. Quiet location close to everything. Clean and tidy. Older period home oozing charm.

As soon as we walked through the cottage we were greeted by a glorious sun-filled kitchen with glass doors to the back-yard. There was a well stocked pantry with all the basics to cook a meal, and great central heating, which heated the house up very quickly (it was a cold day). The lounge had a really comfy leather lounge suite and digital TV. and the beds were super comfy with quality linens. The house is very easy to find - just off Glen Osmond Road a short walk to shops etc. We walked to a local pub (The Earl of Leicester) - great service and food. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to a couple or families who are well catered for with lots of single beds and a cot. Owner Chris is a delight to deal with, and goes out her way to make sure you are looked after. 11 out of 10!

Great Place to Explore Adelaide

A clean, well presented and comfortable home that served a family of 6 extremely well.

Great central location literally just outside the city centre and extremely close to great shops, cafes and roads to everywhere else.

The primary school facilities across the road were available after hours which included a playground, oval and tennis court.

The house had all the mod cons including solid wi fi and a quality smart tv. A beautiful little backyard is there to escape to if it becomes 'too much' inside.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the property.

Wonderful location

Four of us have just spent 5 nights at this wonderfully located property. There are many great cafes within easy

walking distance and the bus stop into the Adelaide CBD is very close by. Chris was very helpful with information about local eating places and sights to see. The back yard provides a lovely peaceful place in which to relax. The house was very clean when we arrived and is well set up to make your stay enjoyable. The area is quite stunning. The house is however in need of some maintenance - there are long cracks in several walls and the bathroom taps have lost much of their enamel coating.

An ideal location - so close to the city and the Hills in a gorgeous suburb. Easily big enough for 5 plus baby. Beautiful backyard. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry had so many extra supplies which was a bonus. Everything we needed for baby.
