About Michele Williams
I grew up on a farm that was built by the oldest settlers in Clifton Park; Saratoga County N.Y. in the 1780’s “The Abraham VanVranken Farmstead” If you search online you can get lost in the stories about the people who lived there before my family purchased it in the 1960’s with only an outhouse. The farmstead is being considered for the national historic registry When I was a child, we rarely could travel or leave the farm for the livestock. Once my mother and her two sisters piled 8 of us cousins in my Aunt Mary’s “Woody” and went to a beach down by the Cape. I think it was at that time I began dreaming of being by the sea shore forever.

Why Michele Williams chose New Seabury
Well, it took a while. I am so blessed to have been able to purchase my “Seaswept Cottage” this past October. I can’t believe how beautiful the winter has been here. The usually dark blue Atlantic turns to a turquoise color as the kelp dies when it turns chilly. My lodgers should spend a weekend or two at my cottage just to experience the blustering winds walking on the beach in the winter and going back to the cottage snuggled on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine watching Neflix or football. I have just finished making the cottage ready for my guests. Now I have to leave as I will be involved in the historic preservation of the farmhouse while many of you will be enjoying my cottage where I will retire someday. I have tried to think of everything that will make my guests feel special and hopefully make it a place they will want to come back to at any time of the year even for a quick winter weekend get-a-way.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Maushop village is a PRIVATE beach community within New Seabury with access to owners of the cottages and their guests only. Perfect for WEDDING GUESTS at the Pomponessett Inn or a private get-a-way for honeymooners. There is an ocean view from my front patio and only one minute to set your feet in the sand. An outside shower is awesome with my end unit so the sand can be left outside. The cottage features one bedroom with a queen size bed and a sleeper sofa in the living room; a beautiful dining area in the sunroom and front and rear bricked patios with an umbrella table, chairs and a gas grill. The kitchen includes a new refrigerator and modern amenities such as a Microwave, toaster, Keurig and drip coffee makers, dishwasher and pretty dishes for entertaining. Oh and the LOBSTER POT! It is a short walk along the bike path to the Popponesset Marketplace with gift shops, miniature golf, ice cream and free concerts on the weekends. This is also the home of the famous “Raw Bar” with giant lobster rolls. You will find fine dining at the Popponesset Inn also a short walk with soft music, candle light, evening breezes into the night right on the water. We can’t forget GOLF! You will find the most beautiful golf courses overlooking the sea. It may remind anyone of Ireland. I am offering reduced rates for April and May and the fall season right to Thanksgiving.

Cute, cozy cottage.
Michele was a pleasure to work with during the booking of this cottage. The cottage is small, but perfect for my husband and me for our week's stay. The beach is just a walk down the street. Mashpee Commons is a 10-minute drive down the road with lots of shops and nice restaurants. Woods Hole is a half hour away. There is an aquarium and the Oceanographic Institute. Also lots of restaurants and nice shops. We had a very relaxing stay and will definitely consider staying there again next year for our annual Cape Cod vacation. All in all, it's a very sweet cottage.
Perfect for Pomponessett Inn wedding guests or for the Bride and groom
