About Amy

My husband and I bought this home from the original owner. Our three sons were all here as brand-new babies . (Now one visits with his lovely wife and their darling kids !...where does the time go!! ) We have had and still have ( !! ) many wonderful memories here. Also, we have seen the area of Tierrasanta wonderfully grow over the past many years and absolutely love the amenities that this beautiful community offers. But our favorite offering is the location of our home in the San Diego area , private backyard with its expansive view and great cental location (quick and easy access to the airport, downtown, beach and many,many other attractions.) Our very favorite pasttime here is to enjoy the most beautiful sunrises from our backyard with a freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the panoramic canyon view that overlooks the ADM Baker golf course !! (Our backyard is so private and peaceful and we think of it as our little retreat! )

We love this area of Tierrasanta ! CENTRAL LOCATION IN SAN DIEGO. Easy to reach freeways, airport, beach, tourst attractions. Wonderfully quiet family neighborhood with great neighbors which provides rest and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of San Diego.

Tierrasanta is a great ,central location in San Diego near I-15,I -8,I-52, I 805 and 15 min from the SAn Diego Airport Also 15-20 min non-rush to La Jolla and Mission and PAcific Beach areas.

Beautiful yard and home!

Our family stayed for 5 days in late March, and really enjoyed it! The home is well stocked, plenty of kitchen supplies (coffeepot, pans, etc), beach toys and towels, etc. Lots of space and a beautiful yard for the kids to run around. Perfect backyard for patio dining. Amy made it really easy too - had a pack n play and high chair all set up for our 1 1/2 yr old. Easy driving distance to zoo, beach, La Jolla, etc. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to hiking in Mission trail park. Loved it!!

Trying to be Fair

The host was very responsive and easy to interact with. The house was a great bargain and in good condition. Rated 3 stars because:

* They need to find a better method for getting guests into the house and possibly hire a different property manager. The key is in a lock box that does not function properly. We spent nearly an hour, taking turns, trying to open the lockbox. We had the correct code but the lockbox is junk. The directions for how to open the lockbox had a section in bold basically confirming others have had the same issue. The host lives on the east coast and when we called the local property manager she was completely apathetic to our issue. This created so much unnecessary stress. Our group flew in from various parts of the country and some had already had very long travel days. Feeling like we were locked out and left to fend for ourselves left a very bad taste. It definitely didn't help us feel welcomed.

Owner's Response: Sorry about difficulty with lockbox. A new push button type is to be installed. I was surprised as only two other guests in the past six years have had difficulty. YES, I do live on the East Coast but I was waiting by the phone for any questions or concerns and never was notified by you. In fact when you were asked you to notify the property manager when you got n, you never did. She called me and I reached out with text to you, but no response from you. I only knew that you were inside when I monitored the air conditioning unit and saw that temp had been adjusted......!! As for you saying you felt that you were left on your own to enter my home, that is true. In my home directions that are sent with lockbox code, I specifically address that. I offer my property manager to meet new guests upon arrival. You did not take me up on that offer....!! I am sorry you felt that negative towards my property. manager. In the six years of her working for me, no one, and I mean no one,. has had one complaint about her. She is a very successful real estate agent and very knowledgeable. If you ever return to San Diego, I hope that you find a property more to your liking. Sincerely, Amy Ketzel Kohler

Wonderful Home

We travelled with the whole family, and were very comfortable in the spacious home. The house is in wonderful condition. The yard is pleasant to spend time in at the end of the day. I would definately recommend this home to anyone looking in the San Diego area. Very central location, easy to access beaches and zoo. In addition, the homeowner (Amy) was delightful to work with and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. Thank you, Amy, for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful place to stay.

Great place to stay!

The home was clean and spacious. We had six adults staying and it was perfect. Great location for all San Diego's attractions! The back yard is beautiful with a view of the canyon. I'd recommend this place for anyone visiting San Diego looking for a safe and relaxing vacation!
