About June McQueen
Growing up military, I was born in Cuba, have lived in several different places, mostly Virginia Beach. I continued living in many places after military life including graduating high school in Venezuela, but, when I found East Tennessee, I found my home. I have always had a love for animals and drove my mother crazy with all the critters I would bring home. My husband often calls me Ellie May. We have down sized a bit now to 4 dogs, 2 goats, 2 pigs and 6 horses. Before moving here to relax more, I did own a stables where I provided boarding, breeding, training, private lessons, birthday parties and hyppotherapy, which is using horses for therapeutic riding for the disabled. I currently own a carriage business for special events (Tymley Travel), an event venue, (Vista View Venue) and now the vacation rental. I also currently volunteer in the Tusculum College Jazz Band and Concert Band where I play baritone saxophone and clarinet. I also play in their handbell choir. I guess you might say I like to stay busy.

Lovely farm lovely host
Our family met here for Thanksgiving. We absolutely loved the experience. My children were so excited to see pigs at our front porch each morning and able to see horses all day long. It was beautiful. June was an amazing hostess with her abundance of goodies, filtered water, extremely clean and well kept house and wonderful farm children (animals). We will definitely be visiting June and her husband again.
Relax in the rolling hills and view the glory of the mountains.
This cabin with screened porch could not have been more perfect for our cousins retreat. Our host provided everything we could want. The scenery of long range mountains, green hills and animals was beautiful and relaxing. Those of us who are animal lovers even got the chance to interact with them. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with coffee or wine. It’s also convenient to town and Davy Crockett Park for excursions. Thanks for our forever memories and to our gracious hosts!
We appreciate that Debbie Bailey took time to give a review for our Guesthouse. We feel fortunate to have had Debbie and her cousins stay for their annual get together this year. It is our goal to provide accommodation and experiences which add to the good memories of the beautiful surrounding area of East Tennessee and it's natural resources. We are in close proximity to David Crockett Park and Tennessee's oldest town, Jonesborough, and the National Historic Site for President Andrew Johnson in nearby Greenville.
Scenic view in relaxing environment
My wife and I spent one week here during the summer. The house is in an area that is away from busy roads and noise but close enough to go to the grocery or restaurants. We spent a lot of time sitting on the large, screened porch watching the pigs, dogs, chickens and horses that occasionally wandered past it. The kitchen was also stocked with various items so that we didn't have to go looking for food when we got there.
The owner's house is nearby and she made sure that we had what we needed but we always had privacy. She did get my wife on a horse for the first time in her life for a short walk.
