Great location...house needs work and cleaning.
Stayed here for a few days with family. Loved the location but the house needed some work. The shower in the master bedroom dripped all the time so was hard to sleep. The owner did let us use the guest house to sleep but said someone was coming to fix it and never showed up. Saw in the guest book that this seemed to be an ongoing problem that needs addressed. Also, the stovetop did not work. House could be cleaned better and less clutter and more organized. Was happy there were games but then realized that they were just thrown in the closet and missing pieces. We were able to have a nice fire in the fireplace but had to buy our own wood. May have been nice if it was included. It could be a really charming house if it were updated.
We were pleased to drive up to this ranch-style home in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks away from downtown Sedona. The views of the red rock mountains from the front yard were awesome! However, we were not pleased when we walked inside to discover that the house had not been adequately cleaned! Every room was dusty with small piles of dirt laying around & the kitchen was filthy. We had to go out & buy cleaning supplies to go over all the rooms before settling in for our visit. The outside garbage cans were filled with old trash that had definitely not been emptied in weeks. At least the hot tub was as promised.
This house had many nice furnishings, inside & out, but it was clear that they had not been cared for in the way a VRBO home should be! Very disappointing in such a lovely town!!!
Thanks for staying with us and apologize for your inconvenience. Just prior to your arrival, the floors had been changed from carpet to vinyl plank, so the cleaning crew (which has been cut short by a serious illness) likely missed some dust. We will address that with them. As for the cleanliness of the kitchen we are a little puzzled on two counts. That morning, Jon went through the house as the crew was cleaning, and found no problems with the job they had done there. In addition, we stock a full range of cleaning supplies. If this should happen in the future, we suggest that you contact the manager, whose phone number is usually posted at the house, as it is at ours, or the owner, from the emails sent confirming your booking and information about the house. Sorry that your experience was not first rate, as we try to provide. Happy travels.
We had a great stay at this house! The furniture is very comfortable. The location was conveniently located within walking distance to Uptown Sedona, and has good views of the Red Rocks.
Just 110 miles north of Phoenix, Arizona, Sedona has become a central resting stop for visitors of Northern Arizona who wish to explore the scenic Verde River, the 1.8 million-acre Coconino National Forest, or the winding road through Oak Creek Canyon. There are a nearly infinite number of things to do in Sedona Relax atop shaded boulders that dot the 16-mile gorge of Oak Creek Canyon, take a rugged Jeep tour or helicopter tour deep into Sedona's authentic Indian ruins or scale a red rock monolith that penetrates the crystal blue sky. On the other hand, some Sedona visitors choose to do very little at all...like sitting back and marveling at the reflection of the sun at dusk that seems to make the Red Rocks appear an even richer and more vibrant hue, as if they glowed from within. There is a strong belief that this place is home to several Sedona vortexes - specific focal points of the earth's energy - and they travel many miles just to feel the renewal of energy in their own life. Whatever the case, Sedona has a way of taking your breath away and reminding us that there aren't many places on earth quite as spectacular as Sedona. In fact, Sedona, Arizona was named 'The Most Beautiful Place in America' in USA Weekend's Annual Travel Report.
