A home away from home
Our short break was made very comfortable at this B&B. Highly recommend it. Very clean, spacious and Chris went out of her way to make it comfortable for us. Breakfast was plentiful. Safe and close to nearby supermakert, city is only 10 mins down the road and airport is 8 mins drive.
Thank-you 2 lovely people a pleasure to meet hope to again
Property is in a lovely location, quiet and peaceful. It was clean, comfortable and our host could not be faulted for providing great facilities including a lovely breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in booking B&B Orchard for our next visit.
A Slice of Tropical Heaven!
Thoroughly disagree with earlier review. Can't recommend B&B on Orchard more highly to others. The premises are just beautiful: relaxing, super clean, modern and luxurious. The service and care provided was above and beyond what I expected. Chris was flexible, and happy to go that extra mile to help make our stay welcoming and relaxing (loved the fruit salad "to go" Chris!). Nothing was a bother for Chris and any assistance she could provide she was happy to do. Definitely worth another visit, and for longer this time!
It was a bit of a surprise to find out that we were sharing a wing with another family, but the facilities allow for privacy or socialisation - depending on what you prefer. Thankyou to Chris for helping to make our stay in Darwin a fantastic experience and memory to share with family and friends. I would add more stars, but the reviewer only allows for 5.....
Thank-you your welcome Chris
Facilities good but service a bit lacking
While you can't fault the general level of accommodation, Chris had we feel over-booked the house during our stay on the night of 11th Sept 2014. We occupied 2 double rooms and there were at least 6-7 other guests during our one-night stay which made it feel more like an up-market hostel than an exclusive B and B. Get rooms on the opposite side of the driveway if you want a quieter night sleep. We also felt that general service and hospitality was lacking (perhaps due to over-booking). Breakfast is very much help yourself, although we acknowledge that this is partly due to many guests leaving early due to day tours etc. But we just felt that there was a lack of general attention to guests during our stay and certainly below what we have experienced across the Northern Territory in general. We may have got an "off night" but we won't be recommending it or staying again.
We have 4 rooms which can take a max of 2 people you occupied 2 rooms so all we could have was a total of 4 more people we no longer take more than 1 group at a time however you only stayed 1 night at premium time .Our breakfast is a continental fresh cut fruits in season yogurt juice cereals breads juice etc so it is available for you to have at any time you wish We have grown in leaps and bounds in the last year regards Chris
Stayed there for 4 days on business. Very friendly owners who couldn't do enough to be helpful. Breakfast provided - fresh fruit salad with choice of toast and spreads as well as cereal. Nicely airconditioned. Would certaily come back.
A fantastic place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with very friendly and helpful service and a lovely, peaceful location in Darwin.
