Located on Ocean Boulevard, this condominium is just across the street from the ocean with access to the only private fishing pier on the Isle of Palms.

Very comfortable, smoke-free, and recently updated, family friendly condominium located on the first floor of the 'A' building. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a private bath. There is a queen and a twin bed in the second bedroom. A sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping if needed. Enjoy a family game of scrabble or Yahtzee, cozy up with a book or embark on a jigsaw puzzle. Use ours or bring your own.

Located in the heart of Isle of Palms, you are just steps from the beach and within walking distance to great restaurants (some with live music), local shopping, and activities. Additional shopping just over the connector. Play at some of the area's finest golf courses. Enjoy the wide beaches, tidal pools, swimming in the surf, searching for star fish and sand dollars, or a little game of low tide bocceball. Downtown Charleston is just 12 miles away. Learn more about this charming historic town on a horse-drawn carriage ride or tour Charleston Bay and Forte Sumter by boat.

Homeowner by-laws prohibit pets.

About Dawn Queen

I grew up near the coast in Virginia and have always loved the beach -Spending time not only on the various beaches in Virginia Beach but also just a short drive away on the Outer Banks of NC. After relocating for a period to the west coast, we found ourselves in Charlotte, NC in need of a beach! We began exploring beaches nearer to us and discovered the IOP on a weekend visit.

Why Dawn Queen chose Charleston Area

We fell in love with the IOP. I love that it is a very walkable and family friendly beach. No large highways to cross over to get to the beach. You can park your car and walk everywhere - across the street to the grocery, down for dinner and ice cream or browse the shoppes.

The beach is very accessible to us - only 3.5 hours away and an easy interstate drive.

Our "treat" to ourselves - a relaxing week at the beach for Thanksgiving. Cold & rainy the first part of the week, but Thanksgiving Day was sunny and warm. We had buffet at Boat House. Not a lot of beach time, but we enjoyed downtown Charleston, Ft. Sumter, Ft. Moultrie. Entries in this book referred to Sea Biscuit & Boat House so we found them both & enjoyed. Boat House - 101 Palm Blvd., IOP, SC Sea Biscuit - J. C. Long Blvd - just a few blocks away. More to do, so we plan to return. Rod & Freda - Kingsport, TN

Just what we needed!

We arrived late at night but with the extra directions provided we found the building easily. The place was clean and well stocked. We forgot toys and books but the closets had a supply. There was also a supply of beach toys and chairs. Restaurants and grocery store were close. We brought a portable crib so everyone slept great. My only regret is the pool was closed.

Wedding weekend rental

We loved our stay at Dragonfly. Very clean, nice linens and plenty of towels. Only downside was the sitting room tv which went off regularly. It was annoying

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed The Dragonfly overall - we are sorry you experienced difficulty with the TV. A quick call to either Nancy or myself and we could have worked on that. We have not heard of any other issues with the television in the living area. With cable tv sometimes there is a method to the madness between the remote controls of comcast and the tv, we would have happily walked through a short troubleshooting series. Sometimes people move the modems around to connect other devices like laptops or gaming systems - so the cable may have been loose. The other thing we have found is the channel the actual tv is on to run with the cable - either 3 or 4. Short of those things, Nancy our property liaison would have been happy to shoot over to take a look.

Ocean Side Villas, Property 9111362

We had a very comfortable vacation! The beds were super comfortable and perfect, the towels nice and white and luxurious, the condo was spotless, the furnishings were in excellent condition, the kitchen was well equipped even though we did not cook as there were so many good restaurants within walking distance, as well as very nice grocery store. The access to the beach was within a two minute walk! We would give you a five star rating and definitely come back!

Though if you do enjoy cooking while on vacation like I do, there is an awesome seafood market just across the street also in walking distance. Simmons Seafood - they also sell the best Key Lime pies. Please let us know if you plan to visit again!

Great location and great price

My wife and I along with our two kids, found ourselves in a bit of a bind due to Hurrricane Matthew. We had to scramble at the last minute and find a place immediatley to slavage what was left of our 10day vacation. Dawn responded within a couple hours of our request to book this condo and was great to deal with. We found the condo to be very comfortable, clean, quiet and well stocked. The walk to the beach, pier, shopping, many bars and great food was less than a 3minute walk. I would highly recommend this condo.

This property is fantastic - everything we needed was close at hand!

We loved how close this property is to the beach as well as downtown Charleston. It is a short walk to the ocean, and a short drive into Charelston which is loaded with things to do. The condo was very comfortable, and was a good size as well. There is a Harris Teeter within walking distance so getting groceries is no problem. There are lots of things to explore in the immediate area, including interesting places to eat with local cuisine. We visited a few plantations in the area, and we found that the location of this condo was excellent. It was really humid during our stay in mid--August, so we made sure we were back to the condo by mid-afternoon and spent the remainder of the day at the beach where it was a little cooler. We certainly appreciated the A/C in the unit! There are laundry facilities available, but we did not use them as they are not convenientally located - they are too far away. So, make sure you have enough clothes for your stay in case you feel the same about the distance of the laundry. That is the only thing that was disappointing. The condo is lovely, tastefully decorated, clean, and certainly a good choice for a holiday!

Wonderfully comfortable and convenient condo!

My husband, our daughter, and I had a wonderful week at this condo while visiting Charleston. Convenient parking, the comfortable living area, a fabulous sleepnumber bed, and a fully equipped kitchen welcomed us back after busy days visiting the area. The decor was tasteful and everything very clean. The condo was also perfectly located for driving to the city and plantations, going to the tennis tournament, walking the beach, and visiting the Center for the Birds of Prey north of Mt. Pleasant. The owner was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year.

Note: Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. Reservations made inside of 30 days are final with no refunds for cancellations. Reservations made after 8/26/2016, reservations made inside of 45 days are final with no refunds for cancellations. Sun - Sun 5 night minimum rentals during summer or peak season (including holidays). Nightly rates may be available during non peak times. For nightly rentals, we generally require 3 nights as a minimum but will do 2 nights as a last minute rental or if only 2 nights are available. We operate very much like a vacation rental - weekly season is very much in demand on the IOP from March to October - and less like a nightly rate hotel. We offer as a vacation rental the convenience of being close to the beach (and all it offers), having 2 bedrooms/2 baths and a full kitchen.
