1st trip to Maine
We had a wonderful experience staying with Eleni and Yianis in their lovely home. They are a wonderful couple and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Beautiful area, delicious breakfasts and fascinating conversations. They were so friendly and hospitable we felt right at home. We’re so glad we found them and definitely plan a return trip.
Lovely place to unwind and rejuvenate
We chose this property because of it relative close proximity to Acadia National Park. The only problem was my girlfriends and I loved the property and hosts so much we were torn each day by wanting to stay at the property or go to the Park! The hosts, Yanis and Elani, could not have been more welcoming. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast of eggs, toast, coffee (fried potatoes one morning too) in their sun room. We had opportunity to spend time in their deck or down by the fire pit sitting area - each with view of the woods and cove. They extended their hospitality with a boat ride, a bit of wine and a wonderful evening sitting by the fire. Our hosts became like family and it was difficult to leave. If you come here to visit the park, definitely allow yourself time to simply enjoy this property and it’s hosts too. We can’t wait to come back.
Yannis and Eleni are wonderful hosts that made us feel right at home (and also made amazing breakfast). The house is located right on then water and has kayaks for the guests to use. It’s beautiful and impeccably clean.
Best Bed and Breakfast experience
We had a wonderful experience staying with Eleni and John in their beautiful home by the water. Extremely hospitable and communicative. We can’t give enough praise for these hosts, our stay was a highlight of our family’s trip to Maine.
Wonderful Property and People
John and Eleni are top-notch hosts with a lovely home in a breathtaking setting. They went above and beyond in every sense to ensure our stay was comfortable and really made us feel like family. The bedroom setting is private and spacious, perfect for family members traveling together. We can’t stay enough positive things!!
A little slice of heaven a stone's throw away from Acadia
Upon arriving to Yiannis Cove, we were welcomed by the most intriguing and engaging couple, John and Eleni. They welcomed us on their front sun porch and go to know more about our likes and interests. Mornings brought a sumptuous breakfast with authentic greek olive oil on toast that was SO good! We learned the lay of the land and the best places to see and where to see them during this breakfast time. John and Eleni were great about giving us our space during the day, but giving us opportunities to join them for a boat cruise in the evening, a bonfire, or just some conversations around good food and beverages. We felt like family by time we left. The little touches were so special like fresh flowers in vases throughout the home and in our room. You couldn't find a more beautiful cove! The scenery was tranquil and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of Acadia and Bar Harbor. We would return after a busy day feeling peaceful and excited to go down by the water or walk around the beautiful flowers. If you are looking for a quiet place to retreat after a busy vacation day, look no further.
This beautiful ocean front property is nestled on 15 acres of unspoiled beauty. Enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the dock or on a kayak. Kayaks are available for your enjoyment to explore the beautiful sea scape. Kayaking, hiking, biking, clamming, bird watching, or relaxing on the deck or sun room are among the favorite pass times.
