Good base for exploring
My main dissapointments with this house were firstly that I felt mislead by it being advertised as having a 'games room'. In actuality there were no games or toys in sight, only a small front room containing a small TV & an uncomfortable couch. Had the 'games room' not been the main reason I booked this place, I would not have felt so dissapointed.
Secondly, with 5 adults & 3 children it was awkward not having a comfortable place to sit together as a group. The living room was cramped and the couches uncomfortable, the kitchen table barely big enough (even though baby did not need a chair) for all of us. Fortunately the outside table was more spacious and as it was summer we ended up having most of our meals outdoors.
Apart from these issues, the house has great bedrooms & the owner was kind & helpful, bringing us a tray of fresh apricots & posting something we forgot. It was a good base from which to explore Adelaide.
A remote control for the DVD player would be handy and some extra bed blankets for the summer months also. Also we were not informed the bins outside would be full and we would have to put them out for collection ourselves.
Photos need to be updated
Unfortunately the reality of the property did not meet the expectation of what we gathered from the photos from Stayz.
For example, it has advertise 2 bathrooms but we discovered only 1 usable bathroom.
The heating was insufficient and we ended up getting 2 heaters of our own, even though the owner was nice enough to drop one heater to upon request.
Even though the house did not live up to the expectation and we felt that the photos were misleading, it was clean and spacious and overall tolerable.
Had a good stay Roger was very prompt and helpful. Bunks didnt really work for the adults and the bathroom is basic but we got exactly what is advertised. So no complaints at all.
Big House with Enclosed Uard - Family Friendly
We really enjoyed our time here.
Great value for money - big comfortable house with loads of room to run for the kids.
Plenty of parking.
No central heating but not a deal breaker.
Good location for Northern Suburb activity for a large group. Beds were clean and comfortable. Owner on hand when we requested heating and other bits & pieces. This is an old home, don't expect four or five star comfort & facilities.
Everything we neeed and more.
A house is a house but its the experience of dealing with someone great that makes all the difference. Roger was easy to get in touch with, happy to help, and always followed through. We would recommend this property to anyone as we can guarantee they will be looked after. Roger truly cares for his guests comfort and enjoyment of his property.
Thanks for making it so easy mate!
