Overview

About the property

Rosedale Hideaway is a rustic yet very modern small cottage. From the deck a view of the Saltwater Creek is framed by a profusion of tall eucalypts and casuarinas. Native bird and animal life abound and the sound of the nearby surf (200m) will lull you to sleep at the end of the day. Perfect for a romantic holiday for a couple, or for a family holiday of 2 adults and up to 2 children. Relax with an evening drink on the deck and enjoy the surrounding bush before cooking your evening BBQ. Children will enjoy fishing in the creek at the bottom of the garden and the catch may be a source of bait for the fisherman.

DOG FRIENDLY-- Rosedale Hideaway is dog friendly (no cats). A 400sq m grassed area is enclosed by a 900mm fence. No more than two dogs are permitted and small dogs are allowed indoors on their own dog baskets. Water and food bowls are supplied, as are plastic bags for the disposal of droppings.

Rosedale Beach is also dog friendly. Unleashed dogs are allowed on the southern end of the beach and leashed dogs on the northern end of the beach from 5pm to 9am in summer (1 November to 30 April) and for 24 hours 1 May to 31 October.

A lovely quiet property

  • 5 of 5

We are frequent visitors to Rosedale, but this is the first time that we have stayed at South Rosedale Hideaway. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who needs a clean, well-appointed, dog-friendly, quiet cottage close to beautiful Rosedale beach.

Peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

South Rosedale Hideaway was a wonderful little cottage hidden amongst lush trees and so close to a beautiful beach. Wonderful bird life and possums visited daily. The cottage was very clean and well looked after and had everything you needed...even milk, tea, coffee and sugar which was perfect after a long drive! I would highly recommend this beautiful home away from home. We will definitely be back to visit again soon!

Visit Annually

  • 5 of 5

We've been visiting Rosedale Hideaway each year since 2011 so I think that says it all. It's our respite from the rat race. There's everything you need supplied in the cottage. We love the quiet, the easy walk and close beach access & the beautiful birds that come daily to be fed. This year we took our new puppy and the yard is very pet proof and 'Bob' loved his first holiday and first time at the beach. Julie is prompt to reply to any queries and very easy to deal with. See you in 2018.

Lovely and peaceful!

  • 4 of 5

A great stay- but .... House was freezing when we entered- took hours to warm up.... Had planned on using the barbecue, but it was filthy as well as in disrepair. The second bedroom needs decent blinds/ curtains.

The positives- clean and cheerful- beds comfortable and doonas warm. Fenced yard great for my dog, but wouldn't suit a "jumper". Lovely outlook with lots of birds to admire. Short stroll to lovely quiet beach!!

Owner's Response: Hi Jane I'm surprised to hear this.... the heaters are usually efficient and the house is well insulated. We have never had this problem communicated to us before. Perhaps the doors were left open while the heater was on? The BBQ appears to have been overlooked by the cleaner, who is usually meticulous, as can be seen by our other guest reviews. I will certainly be following this up and rectifying the situation with the BBQ. Happy to hear that you otherwise enjoyed your stay, best wishes Julie
