Totally wonderful

  • 5 of 5

The house really becomes a home as soon as you walk in. Everything is clean, the furniture, the air, the kitchen. Beds are comfortable, plenty of lights. Clearly thought has gone into the furnishings and decorations, cozy but not cloying. Easy walks to nearby creek and bit further to the river. Good amount of privacy without being isolated.

Communication with Jan was easy and immediate.

Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Sweet stay

  • 5 of 5

Had a comfortable relaxing time - enjoyed celebrating Christmas, lounging over too much coffee and caramel corn, completing a torturous 1,000 piece puzzle, and watching snow fall outside. A bald eagle kept an eye on us during our riverside walk, and we found some great sledding for the little boys at White Pass. Overall a terrific stay. Thank you!

Awesome home

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome home. Maybe too nice, since we were there with 6 children, our goal was to leave early each morning to go to Rainier and St Helens, but with the spacious main room, hot tub, great trail to the river and all new bathrooms/showers, we had a tough time getting everyone to leave the house to go hiking! If and when we return, I'm looking NO further than this location. Make sure to check out the trail to the river. It's right across the road and only .25 mile walk to a beautiful river and view!

Honestly, if this was MY HOUSE, I would not change a thing!

Thanks Again for letting us stay.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted to get away from our busy lives and have a relaxing weekend to celebrate 22 years of marriage. We certainly found that at the Mountain Mist Chalet. It felt so inviting the minute we walked in the door. Everything was immaculate even down to the drawers, cupboards, refrigerator and stove. The trail to the river was easy and the river fun to explore. I didn't even mind cooking because the kitchen was well stocked and open to the living area. We have done a lot of vacation rentals through VRBO and this is one of the best. Keep up the good work!

perfect family retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 11 month old son, and I stayed at this property over the July 4th holiday weekend. We were looking for a quieter way to spend the 4th than our home which is right in the middle of the Seattle fireworks party zone. We got exactly what we were looking for.

We enjoyed the peaceful surrounding neighborhood of the house and the nearby river. We also really loved having the outdoor hot tub available on the property. We found the living room and kitchen to be stocked with everything (and more) that we needed to entertain ourselves and our son and to prepare meals for the whole family. Plus we really appreciated how close we were to stores in Packwood as well as hiking trails in Mt Rainier park.

The house is very clean and comfortable and very professionally managed. All in all, we were especially impressed with the house and its amenities. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our family and friends.

great stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four stayed in the Mountain Mist Chalet and really enjoyed it. It is very clean. The beds have nice linens and were comfy. My kids loved the Atari game along with lots of board games and books. The kitchen was well stocked. The home has an open layout, which was great for our family. The hot tub was nice and we enjoyed walking to the river. It is very quick to get into Packwood and Mt. Rainier from the chalet. If you are looking for a home to rent in this area, I recommend this one!
