Not what we expected
We are a retired couple and had a few problems with the shower situated over the bath was slippery and difficult to get out of
The property itself has great outlook to the bay below
Also we found it hard to navigate the driveway
Cooking facilities need an overhaul
Absolutely stunning location
Really felt like you were surrounded by trees - a beautiful outlook. And only 5 min to town- perfect.
The house is a little older - so don't expect anything fancy. But it's functional, clean and cosy.
We had a wonderful time at Moonwaters! The house is in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees with a view out to the inlet. We LOVED the wood fire and would have it lit every night while we enjoyed a local bottle of wine and the view. We brought our 1 year old dog along with us who had a great time going bush walking every day. It's so nice finding properties that let you bring pets. The house is slightly older however very clean. We will definitely be back!
Peaceful and relaxing
We enjoyed the peace and quiet during our recent stay at Moonwaters. The place could have had a good dust over though and the rugs needed cleaning as there was evidence of a dog visit as well as dog odour. The toilet had a permanent odour also.My son and I had an unwelcome guest each in the form of a cockroach that dropped onto our pillows at night,we also saw a few of the little critters scurrying about. The bathroom is very outdated and water runs out over the bath edge and over the floor, the water pressure is very good and the hot water is great.Overall a nice little cottage with a good supply of kitchen appliances, crockery and odds and ends and the ceiling fans were great as we had a few warm days.We loved the bird life.
We enjoyed our stay after a bad start. Disorganisation in getting instructions and then when we arrived we were greeted with dirty laundry from the previous guests, beds not made and the house had not been cleaned. No instructions for TV and associated antenna amplifier and had to negotiate a few years of cobwebs and dust to get the TV working. Wonderful potential
Hi Bill, we are happy you enjoyed your stay and apologise for the inconvenience of having to be confronted with dirty laundry and an unclean premise. Unfortunately our usual contracted cleaner was called away on an emergency and a replacement had to be found on a very short notice. I believe she was apologetic and helpful to you when you met her. With concerns to a Tv, An instruction booklet for all the appliances is always provided and placed on the kitchen bench, as well as signs placed strategically around the premises. As for the TV reception it is something that is beyond our control due to the nature of the surrounding location. The height of the Karri trees tend to interfere with the effectiveness of the antenna reception. Thanks for your feedback Christophe
Nice place to holiday
We enjoyed our five days at Moonwaters, especially the birds morning and evening. The rear patio area was let down with only three old directors chairs, one of which was broken and two old lounges covered in plastic taking up most of the room. New frying pans are also needed fo the kitchen
Hi Richard, thank you for your feedback. Coincidently there has been discussions of upgrading the patio and it is in the works. It will be a disruptive process, so we are trying to find an appropriate time to get this done in between the occupancy of the accomodation. Thanks for your feedback
