Overview

Kure Beach House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Keywest style cottage in prestigious 'Seawatch' community is perfect for family vacations to make memories. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths in aprox. 2400 sqft all beautifully designed with coastal living in mind. Kitchen with tile counters, large double frig plus secondary large beverage frig. All bedrooms are 12x14 and nicely decorated. Home has 5 updated flat panel HD tv's and 3 dvd players. Rear porch get's full sun that extends across back of whole house. It has 6 adirondeck chairs, two sun chaises, a large picnic table and tile bar with built in stainless gas grill for large family meals. The covered front porch has a hammock for afternoon naps next to palm trees and additional seating among seasonal tropical flowering plants. A cool breeze seems to always be blowing from the the Cape Fear River to the nearby ocean. The house has parking for 4 cars on two separate driveways. The community pool is just 100 feet from back porch yet trees provide privacy. We also provide a beach wagon, ocean kayak, several beach chairs.

Seawatch is a private community that is mainly of second homeowners down for the summer or permenant residents. The neighborhood consists of families and is very child friendly. The rental provides complimentary access to the private Seawatch community pool, bathrooms, tennis, playground with playhouse, and common areas. Seawatch has a private gated community beach access with oceanfront cabana complete with seating area, bathroom and outdoor shower area . It is just 200 yards from house to beach . Enjoy a glass of wine at the cabana then a evening walk through Seawatch to see the deer with their newborns. It is short 10 minute walk down the beach to Kure Beach Pier for fishing, dining, arcade, ice cream or a cold beverage.

Seawatch is just two miles from downtown Carolina Beach which has many restaurants and night time entertainment. The carnival rides are the center of downtown at the boardwalk all summer long. Enjoy the weekly boardwalk fireworks and outdoor family movies at the lake so please check the schedules. Private fishing charters, boat rentals, cocktail and dinner cruises are all available at the marina. Mini golf and arcades are all close by in Carolina Beach. Freeman Park is a city beach just three miles from Seawatch and allows 4x4 vehicles to drive on, build camp fires and let dogs play. You can also rent jeeps in town to get out on the 4x4 beaches.

Fort Fisher State Park is just a 5 minute drive south to the end of the island. It has a 4x4 vehicle beach that is totally isolated and aprox. 2 miles long. Ocean on one side and marshes with creeks for kayaking/ flounder fishing just 100 yards away. It is why they call this' Paradise Island'. The North Carolina Aquarium is at Fort Fisher and is one of the states most popular attractions. They also offer summer camps for kids from 9am to 1 pm. The kids love the camps at the aquarium with indoor and outdoor education (shelling, shrimping and beaching). There also is a civil war museum with live reenactments. It is nice to take the car on the ferry from Fort Fisher across the Cape Fear River and feed the seagulls. It will dock at Southport which is small historic town or board another ferry to Bald Head Island for lunch at the 'Mojito's'. It is small island with no cars just golf carts. Climb 'OLD BALDY' lighthouse for panoramic views. The sunsets across the Cape Fear River from the Fort Fisher State Park are amazing on clear days.

Seawatch is just 20 minutes south of historic Wilmington with it's Riverwalk. The Riverwalk on the Cape Fear River has many restaurants and shops. A trolly ride, ghost walk, dinner cruises, reptile museum and live theatre. Across the river you can tour the USS North Carolina Battleship.

The area has plenty of surf fishing , party boats , charter boats and golf.

Keywords: Keywest style cottage just 200 yards to beach. Large upscale home has plenty of outdoor seating extensive tropical plants.

5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Tile counters and hardwood floors. Pool season is open from May 1st through October 30

A great upscale home in prestigious 'SEAWATCH'- book now!!

About Scott

We are a family of four from Charlotte ,NC. We have two daughters who enjoy the outdoors.

Scott purchased this house in 2008

Why Scott chose Coastal North Carolina

We purchased in Seawatch because it is best FAMILY community on the island. Many island homes are not in a community. We love the easy beach access, community pool and wildlife. The island has so many activities. In just a few years we have so many memories.

What makes this house unique

Upscale private community that does not have much traffic at all. Private gated beach access with cabana and bathroom for quests and owners only. Community pool ,tennis and playground.

Beautiful home with amentities gallor!

  • 5 of 5

The home is gorgeous, clean, and very well cared for.

Kitchen is stocked with more than you'd imagine! More cooking utensils and supplies than I even have at home. The lack of basic kitchen utensils always seemed to be something we've had to deal with in the past renting elsewhere.

Our large family has plenty of space. The pool is so close and beach was a very short walk. Well stocked beach and pool toy/supplies. Serine porches.

We rented bikes and rode around the neighborhood.

Owner was a breeze to work with!

Overall fantastic experience :)

Great location and most importantly clean.

  • 5 of 5

Fun location with community pool and a block to the beach access. The wagon provided makes it easy to get your stuff to the beach. Several options for unique things to do - lighthouse, ferry rides, etc.

Supplying your own sheets and towels was something of a new experience to us, but it was clearly disclosed.

Quiet neighborhood and the beach was not crowded where we entered.

Fun trip.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. Glad to see your family enjoyed the home, neighborhood and all the area has to offer. One of the reasons we purchased in the neighborhood was the private beach access point that translates into mainly just neighborhood families on beach. Kure beach also does not allow high rise condos so there wont be huge crowds at certain parts of beach. Our cleaning crew is going to want a raise if they read the reviews. LOL. Thank you- hope you decide to return soon.

We will go again!

  • 5 of 5

We went for Spring Break this year. Impeccably kept home! Semi-private beach access (homes in the development only). Fully equipped kitchen. Relaxing deck and porch that was great for morning coffee. Plenty of room to hang out for dinner or watch a movie in the evening. Nice open floor plan.

We have 7 year old twin boys. This home was perfect for us :) The boys loved it and are ready to go back again. There was plenty of room for them to play without disturbing the rest of the adults.

Close to lots of activities! We loved Fort Fisher :) There is an Aquarium, Civil War museum, and beautiful beach! We even found a shark tooth! Also close to Wilmington. We drove around and admired the beautiful Southern homes. Azaleas were in bloom. We also went to the Battleship NC. A great place for history buffs :)

Thank you, Scott, for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful beach home :)

Stop looking, this is the place.

My family has been traveling to Carolina Beach/Kure Beach for over ten years. We have stayed in a different place each year because we could not find the right place. That was until two years ago when we came across this house. It has everything we needed, enough room for all of us, close to the pool, close to the ocean, clean and well maintained. Next year will be our third year staying here and as long as the owners continue to rent it we will continue to stay.

Counting Down to a 3-Peat

  • 5 of 5

We loved our recent visit every bit as much as last year. We're not completely unpacked and we've already booked our trip for 2016!

The house and amenities are generous for our group of nine. We really appreciate the spices, coffee filters, foil and the like left by previous guests. It's easy to get set for a week of relaxation and those items makes the house feel more like a friends' home than a sterile rental property. The deck is the ideal spot to linger over coffee or a drink--with a view to the tennis court if you're interested in playing.

This home is a perfect blend of location, decor, comfort, cleanliness, and owner hospitality. We really appreciate how Scott goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. We've stayed at two other Seawatch homes and this is our favorite. Wish we were there now!

Best rental experience we've had

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great vacation in this lovely home. It was the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in, and that means a lot coming from a "germaphobe." Very kid friendly - our 4-year-old was sound asleep when we arrived at midnight, but she lit up the moment she got inside and ran from room to room exclaiming she wanted to live there. We loved the pool and how close it was to the house. The private outdoor shower for bathing/cleaning the kids before heading inside after a beach day was a great feature. We just kept soap right there, and they were cleaned and ready to go in and nap. The rooms are bright and airy, yet closing the curtains kept it dark enough for naps. Lots of places in Kure Beach to go for a nice long run. Kitchen was well stocked, and the wagon for carrying beach chairs and umbrella (which the house also had) was great. The walk to the beach was very short. The only negative was that my inlaws didn't care for the stairs due to my mother-in-law's injured ankle, but she managed and overall had a nice stay. We would recommend this vacation rental to anyone.
