An Original Log Cabin Adjacent To The Museum Of Appalachia In Norris Tenn
Robert and Robin Sain
About Robert and Robin Sain
Bob and Robin Sain are the owners of the Cabin along with their dogs, cats, birds, and horses. As ‘custodians’ of the Foust cabin we are dedicated to the restoration and preservation of it by minimizing the impact of providing conveniences of modern living for our guests. As we restored each cabin we took steps to ensure the original structural integrity of each cabin was retained as much as we could and still comply with local building codes.
Robert and Robin Sain purchased this Cabin in 1994
Why Robert and Robin Sain chose Clinton
The Foust family cabin is unique as it is an artifact of the history of Appalachia that is rapidly disappearing. It has endured the passage of time for over 150 years if not longer. One of our primary goals is to preserve it so it may survive for many years to come. Robin and I view our ownership of this cabin as being temporary custodians until we pass it on to the next generation of owners. We want to use this time to collect as much information as we can about the history and background of the cabin and the families who lived in it.

Quiet relaxing getaway
Enjoyed our stay immensely at this authentic cabin. It was well-appointed, comfortable, and in a lovely setting. A real taste of Appalachia.
Great get away
Nice cabin and very clean. Owners really nice folks and we enjoyed the area.
The cabin was clean and had everything needed. However the lighting was authentic for sure. Could have used light over the table. Otherwise we had a comfortable, relaxing stay.
Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay
We stayed at the Foust Cabin for six nights while we did some hiking on the local trails. The cabin was a unique experience given its history, while also being comfortable and well-equipped. Robert and Robin were very helpful and responsive in making sure we had what we needed to maximize our enjoyment of the cabin, such as bringing us plenty of wood so we could use the gorgeous fireplace. They were also a great source of information about the local area and helped us identify some hiking experiences that we wouldn't have known about. We would definitely recommend the Foust Cabin to others.
The cabin was exactly how advertised. Modern ammedities but keeping the1800's charm.
My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway. The cabin was cozy and just what we needed to get unplugged! We will diffinitely return.
