We picked the place because of the terrace, but it was more like a glorified storage area than a useable space. Also—Rome in the summer is very hot and you really don’t want to be out there. It was a good deal for a two bedroom two bedroom place in an excellent location, but don’t expect luxury: the showers are tiny, the pillows are terrible, and the sofa shows a lot of wear and tear Our hosts did promptly fix a number of things (drainage, air conditioner, stovetop) that weren’t working there, so that was nice. Overall the apartment shows some wear and tear.
The apartment was a bit dirty as we arrived: there was a bit dust, poorly washed dishes and carpet in the toilet was dirty. Warm water didn't run well to the main bathroom, but did in the smaller one. Otherwise it was nicely located and suprisingly quiet, well enough equipped for our needs and the beds were clean and comfortable. Air condition worked well in every room. Perfect if you don't desire luxury but want perfect location for exploring the eternal city.
My sister and I spent 3 nights in this apartment and found it comfortable and convenient. Check-in was easy and being able to leave our bags in the office at check-out so that we could spend a few more hours exploring was very helpful. Nearby is a grocery(think Trader Joe's! You can by a bottle of decent wine for 2-4 Euro!) and many good restaurants.....loved Vito E Dina and Piacera Molise.
As planned we were greeted by the apartment manager. The apartment was clean but not as well stocked as it should have been. There were no bowls for cereal thus we ate our cereal out of the coffee mugs so coffee first then cereal but not together. The showers were very small about the size of a phone booth. Fortunately none of us are large people but if you dropped the soap picking it up was almost impossible. The patio was dated and some of the furniture broken. The area around the apartment was not one that was in the most secure or safest part of town. On several occasions in the evening on the steps near the apartment that lead to the Vatican a small group of men were excessively drinking to the point one was unable to stand up. That same night one was passed out on a discarded mattress on the side walk. This not an apartment I would recommend.
My sister and I rented this apartment for one week. It was quiet, clean, and airy, just a short distance away from the steps leading up to the Vatican museum in a lovely neighborhood with wonderful dining and shopping (including a fantastic little bakery on Via Barletta called Dolce Maniera). We slept like rocks in our comfortable beds, and the bathrooms were nicely appointed (although the showers were a bit tight on space).
All of the appliances were relatively new and worked just fine, and the layout of the apartment suited our needs very nicely when we opted to eat in. The kitchen is a bit short on cooking utensils, but nothing we weren't able to work around.
Both the owner and the manager were prompt, professional, and pleasant---no complaints on customer service at all.
If we were to choose the pièce de résistance of the apartment, though, it would have to be the terrace. That is where we spent every morning and every evening (when it wasn't raining), we loved it so much there. It was our retreat after a hot day of Coliseum and chiesa crawling!
All in all, I would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat and would gladly recommend it to others. Thank you for making our stay in Rome so enjoyable!
We had a wonderful stay in this clean and modern apartment. The Manager, Norman, was fabulous, protective, informative, helped with tours, getting us in and out, checked in every day.
We had two meals a day in the apartment and had all that we needed. The terrace is wonderful, the beds comfortable, the wifi great and only one flight up! We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.
