Wonderful secluded family getaway!
This rental was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and linens and towels were well stocked and of good quality. In addition, there were ample household products. The kitchen was also well equipped with dishes, tableware, pots and pans, and various utility items. There were two grills and a pool table we didn't get to make use of. The road leading up to the dwelling is a dirt road that is long, winding, and a little steep in a few places that could be tricky if you have a trailer or a small car - especially if it's been raining and thus slippery. The only issue of significant concern to us is that the public listing states that there is internet and wifi but neither is available. Availability of wifi was one reason we had chosen this unit over another. I wasn't informed of this issue until after paying the final installment. There were a lot of entertainment units but no television was available (at least not that we knew how to access). However, for us, just as well. Our cell phones had good service. Overall, very good value and clean. I would absolutely choose to stay here again!
Spacious, secluded cabin - fabulous!
We didn't quite know what to expect as we drove up the long, winding, snowy seasonal road and driveway, but what awaited at the other end was fabulous! Lots of space for the teens! Separate bedroom and bath for the parents. Gorgeous property! We can't wait to plan another stay!
This is the second time we've stayed here and truly enjoy ourselves. It's a great place for family time.
Perfect cabin getaway
Great experience! Clear instructions from the owner and just an overall awesome hunting cabin getaway back in the woods. Plenty of space and beds. Could not ask for a better option for a guys weekend. Uber gets you to downtown for $15. Golf course 15 minutes away too. Woke up to a 6pt buck 30 feet from the bedroom window. Just a lot of fun. Would love to buy a cabin like this. Hope to stay again next year. Thank you!
It was perfect for our family getaway. We had our Lab with us and the secluded place was perfect!
Lots of room. We wanted to unplug so we did. Close to Traverse City and we loved being away from everything. We grilled out and hiked on the property
Not fancy but cozy and homey
What is most important to me is cleanliness and comfortable beds and this met my expectations. We were not expecting the air conditioning but were happy for it since it was in the 90’s. Very roomy and plenty of seating in living room. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We all enjoyed just sitting on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. Brian was attentive when I had questions.
House and property are located close to Traverse City and Grand Traverse Bay, but in a very rural setting surrounded on three sides by thousands of acres of state land. The Vasa trail runs adjacent to the property and is great for biking, hiking and cross-sountry skiing, and a DNR snowmobile trail is nearby, and easily accessible on adjacent state forest roads and trails.
