About Jim & Celia Dailey

We are from Minnesota and we are avid sailors and lovers of the Caribbean waters since 1984.

Jim & Celia Dailey purchased this condo in 2011

Why Jim & Celia Dailey chose Mandahl

We fell in love with the Mahogany Run condo properties primarily because of the breath-taking views of the islands and turquoise waters. We also love the meticulously groomed grounds on the golf course which gives you the feeling of walking through a tropical, botanical garden.

What makes this condo unique

It is gated with 24-hour security.

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view was amazing. We liked that it was on the top floor. The condo was well supplied with amenities to meet our needs. The price was good and the area was great. The home owners were fantastic and pleasant to deal with. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again in the future.

Jim and Celia have put a lot of thought and effort into creating a tropical oasis for their guests.

We loved Coral Seas and felt so at home there.. it was very peaceful and comfortable. They have done a wonderful job of creating the perfect atmosphere/balance of vacation and a true "home away." I loved that they felt close by, as they were always happy to answer questions and provide information when we needed it. I feel like i know them and have never met them.. it's a wonderful place. And there is a bird who comes to visit every day (it likes bananas, avocado, breadcrumbs, grapes, strawberries, fish...). ;) We watched her feed her young. Lastly, there is something about the view of Hans Lolick that is hypnotizing.. I miss it already. Thank you, Jim and Celia. Hope to meet you soon.

Awesome location and hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Jim & Celia do a great job making you feel right at home in their place. The location, at Mahogany Run golf course, is only about 20 minutes from anywhere you want to be.

The unit has great views and breezes for enjoying it all day. It is fully furnished, and more spacious than I imagined. The layout is such that each room has a great deal of privacy too.

We never used the pools at Mahogany Run, but both looked nice if you need a quick dip.

Beautiful Views

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Koral Seas. The views from the decks were amazing, and definitely one of the main reasons we decided to book. I woke up early while on our vacation, and the deck was a relaxing place to eat breakfast and read - definitely one of the activities I enjoyed most while at the condo.

Jim also provided some very useful information about the island and places to eat. They also had a great book on St. John that was useful when we were planning a hike through Reef Bay Trail. All in all, it was a great stay and I would recommend.

Awesome trip

  • 4 of 5

My friend and I had an amazing time in St Thomas! The Koral Seas was in a great location if you don't mind driving around the island. My recommendation is to pay for the extra insurance due to crazy drivers and dangerous roads! I also felt very safe staying there. Many people we met mentioned it was a good area to live.

The condo was nice, however it could use a few upgrades hence the 4 vs 5 stars. I felt the price was very fair and the view was outstanding. Jim was very helpful with ideas and suggestions as to how to plan and enjoy the trip. I did speak with him in regards to a few issues with some of the sliding doors not able to open for air circulation in the extra room. My only other observations was one of the kitchen cabinet door just about fell on my head. Tried to tighten, but found no tools in the house. Also, if you want to use the washer and dryer bring your own laundry detergent. One ceiling fan was also broken, but unable to be fixed before we arrived.

We enjoyed many beaches on our stay and the beach equipment was a plus. Those included, Brewer's Bay, Hull Bay, Magen's Bay and Lindbergh Bay where we launched off for a kayak trip to Water Island to swim with turtles and snorkeled the reef there. It was an awesome day. Hard work though, you need to be in decent shape. That was through St Thomas Adventure Tours, they provided lunch at our destination which was awesome. We pretty much lived at the beach! I recommend to visit Magen's Bay when the cruise ships are not in port. There were only a few other traveler's and the rest there were locals.

Other things we did was a sunset cruise on the Coconut with Daydreamer & Coconut (the experience was great, the food so so). Then a full day two stop snorkel trip with an exceptional lunch with New Horizon Charter. On a previous trip I did a 1/2 day snorkel on Daydreamer and it was worth the $$, though the food on New Horizon was better, trip cheaper and still awesome! New Horizon is a sailboat, the other Catamarans.

Our most enjoyed restaurant was this place recommended by our Captain on the Coconut, it was called "Off the Grid" very casual BBQ spot. Only outside seating! A must to visit. We also picked up sandwiches at the Cup & Cork a few times, very close to Magen's Bay. We had a picnic lunch at the beach twice. Also tried Fish Tales Grill and Twisted Cork. Both very good, the latter very upscale inside though I felt I was in the ghetto looking for it.
