The Boardman River is a scenic river with abundant Trout - a Fisherman's paradise. The serenity of this place is truly mind-settling. It is truly a ''getaway'' but yet very close to Traverse City with all of its amenities.

The place was just what we expected and even more. We are hoping to make this an annual event...
I rented this cottage for my husband's 50th birthday. He wanted something secluded and quiet with all the amenities of home. This beautiful place fit the bill. Gorgeous location (you can't beat being RIGHT on the river) and a short 15-20 minutes from Traverse City. The house itself is beautifully decorated, clean and very well-maintained. For the booking, I dealt directly with Evan who answered every email immediately and was very friendly and helpful with tips on places to visit in the area. While we were at the cottage, Rob showed us around the property and was very helpful with whatever we needed. We will certainly be back again!
At first I was a bit hesitant because the outside of the home looked a little worn and the inside looked like it was covered in other peoples' blankets.
However, the inside was actually very nice and the outside was in decent shape as of this year (summer 2016.) The beds were cozy and they use a maid service seemingly to wash everything and clean up after each stay.
The reverse osmosis was broken due to issues with winterizing, so I would have brought distilled water for the coffeemaker if I had known. The reverse osmosis feature is currently unavailable as far as I know, but it isn't an issue. A few days of tap water won't do any harm.
The drive to Traverse City isn't bad. It's a very clean town. Lots of nice people.
There is a building across the driveway where the groundskeeper stays, probably 100-150 ft from the cabin. He was very cool and helpful, you can text him and he responds pretty quick.
The grill worked, the dishwasher apparently works well, and it was nice to have three full bathrooms. Everybody in our group was pretty impressed. Definitely beats a hotel both in experience and, most likely, in pricing.
Beautiful property, lovely home, great place to get away and relax. Had a great time, very peaceful. Rob was great to work with. Hope to return sometime when the weather is warmer.
We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and loved everything about it! The property was very clean and well maintained! There was plenty of towels, toiletries, space and best of all 3 full bathrooms which is a must with all ladies. The property is beautiful and the owners were very easy to work with and connect. We will definitely use this place again!
Beautiful setting, comfortable and inviting home. Just what we were looking for! Evan and Rob were so easy to work with as well. They made our weekend getaway relaxing and easy to plan.
Located in the beautiful Boardman River Valley just south of Traverse City.
