Sweet well equipped character cottage
Great location and superbly equipped!
The best apartment I have stayed in yet
Mate this is really good. Love this house brother. Stayed there for three nights and it truly was worth it. This legend brought us forks spoons and everyday stuff. Really clean and comfortable. Keep up the good work lad.
Thank you and yes the home is fully equipped. so you can cook your own meals and eat at home. A good way to save on additional expenses when you are on holidays.. You only need to bring your own personal items. Thank you very much for being such polite and friendly guests who left my home in good condition. I appreciate your stay. Hope you visit again.
Lovely, well equipped house, conveniently located between the city and beachside suburb of Glenelg.
A lovely art deco/federation property with a very cute outdoor garden that adds to its overall ambience. The covered, outdoor deck with sofa, and garden table setting, are a great way to relax with family. The deck is also ideal for hanging out washing! A washing machine and well equipped kitchen are an asset, as is the comfortable living room. We loved the garden which includes a beautiful tree that adds shade on hot summer days. Very effective air conditioning, too. Can highly recommend.
The property was just as described. Very comfortable bedding, well equipped kitchen, extremely clean
Four adults stayed over Christmas and were very comfortable. Kris had left thoughtful necessities in the kitchen as well as some declicious treats for the festive period. There was aslo washing liquid for the washing machine - we couldn't have asked for more to make us feel at home and able to fully function in the self catering. The standard of bedding and crockery was much higher than I have experienced in any self catering property I have stayed in. The location was ideal for access to CBD and Glenelg beach. Would deffinitely recommend.Thank you.
The house was fantastic and close to public transport, train and bus,
The only thing missing from the house was a BBQ, this would have been good,
Thank you Neil and friends for leaving the home in such good condition. Hardly knew anyone had stayed. There is a BBQ about a 2 minute walk away with a nice seating area and playground at the Glandore Community Centre. The home also is close to the Adelaide tram which is our most direct form of public transport, especially for travel to the Adelaide Cricket Grounds and for lots of other nice tourist spots and events around Adelaide.
Anazing"home" not just a house!
Kris's home is amazing. Not just a bare house like others I have stayed in, this really felt like a home away from home. I was a little wary based on a sole negative review just before our visit as all the rest had been glowing, but I so felt confident in continuing our booking. So glad we did and I have deduced that negative reviewer has never stayed in home stays before or is on crack. The home is EXACTLY as described if not better and more spacious. We had my 90 year old mother stay with us and she had no difficulties negotiating the halls, house or backyard. The front room is separated from the living room and the 2 other rooms are separated from each other by the kitchen, which means each room has its own privacy. The Kitchen, was modern, new, clean and extremely well catered for, hope Kris doesn't mind but we left a set of tongs as someone may have taken a set. "Half jars of food" are often left as a courtesy to other guests so you dont have to buy everything from scratch, as are spices etc., which is something most people know who stay in home stays. The beds by the way were incredibly comfortable, and the toilet and bathroom are separate which is great when staying with others. As to the comment about the bathroom being small, I don't know how many people you want in there at one time but we had 3 females and made out just fine. I was even able to be in there with my mum as she took her shower.
Kris left us alone but if we had questions answered them straight away.
The back deck is stunning, and we only wish the weather was a little better as we would have been out there every day. The back yard is not overgrown it is gorgeous, tranquil and well maintained. The toilet is also not a long way and I would suggest if you have trouble navigating in the dark, not surprising in an unfamiliar home, bring either a torch nightlight, or even use your cell phone. It isn't rocket science. We had a car but we were able to walk to the nearby bakery in about 10 mins and transport was close by. I would love to stay again if Kris would have us and urge anyone thinking of a "home" stay to book with Kris
Thanks Jill I am glad your family reunion for your Mother’s 90th Birthday was special and glad the home suited your needs. I am in awe that you fit 3 people in the bathroom. (Not sure how you did that.)
Thanks again for looking after the home and leaving it in such clean and good condition. You would be welcome back to stay anytime. Have a great Christmas & New Year.
