About the property

FISH CREEK COTTAGE is a light-filled cosy cottage with crafted rustic timber features, an open plan interior, well equipped kitchen, 2 generous sized bedrooms, and comfortable furnishings throughout. It has been variously described by guests as "charming, creative, rustic, soothing, quaint, quirky and peaceful." Our cottage is ideal for couples, families or a small group of friends wanting to enjoy a relaxing escape, a chance to explore the villages, hills and beaches, or to hibernate, tucked up with a good book, winter fire and a good local wine!

Our cottage is an ideal base from which to explore some of the fantastic attractions of Prom Country - the Prom, the beaches, Cape Liptrap, the wineries and Great Southern Rail Trail. All within an easy stroll are four art galleries, the local cafes , the fabulous Fish Creek Hotel, the Celia Rosser Gallery, children's playground, and the Great Southern Rail Trail.

"Our two nights in Fish Creek Cottage were a wonderful oasis in a busy

holiday. We wished we had booked for a longer visit. The cottage is very

attractive, comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. Everything we needed was

there, and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The fire and heat pump

made a winter visit very warm and restful. Sunrise over the deck was

beautiful, and ... cafe added to our great experience. We

enjoyed being so close to Wilson's Promontory National Park and the beaches.

We will be back!" - Sue, Nelson NZ

"Just a note to say how much we enjoyed staying at Fish Creek Cottage. We loved the tasteful rustic look of the cottage and the pleasant outdoor deck. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well-equipped. Above all, we appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the board games, the CD's and player, binoculars and the splendid selection of books. Many thanks, we'll be back." - Christine, Yarraville

"We're so glad we found this place! Beautifully put together with so many little treasures to look at and read. My idea of heaven." -H, May

Rustic, quirky but gardens overgrown

  • 3 of 5

The cottage and its views are now obscured by trees and shrubs that have grown a lot higher since some of the photos were taken.Inside key items have been renewed, cottage is clean but a bit basic.

Rustic and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Four adults stayed for two days. Our intention was to go to The Prom - which we did. The kitchen was well resourced, beds were comfy, gardens were in bloom. Had to coordinate the use of bathroom and as there was only one toilet at the other end of the bathroom it was a bit difficult at times. Loved the use of recycled items to make tables etc. The location was very good as you could walk to the local shops easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

One of the best stay

  • 5 of 5

A nice little cottage at a good location. Not too far from everything. And most importantly, the kitchen is well equipped, you name it, you have it. The reverse cycling works and the woodheater makes the whole place very cosy and easy to set up. We were given 2 rooms and decide to stay all in one room. Surprisingly the room is very well insulated and we survive the winter without much heater. It is also a cosy place for the dogs, the furbabies love it.

Stayed for 2 nights and on the second night, electricity was cut off due to the installation of the solar heater. When i called the host, she immediately popped down and tried to resolve it. Though we were without electricity for the night, she took great initiative to make sure we are comfortable. Her kind gesture impressed us. Is the service that really counts.

I would highly anyone with dogs to put up a night or two here. You will feel home away from home.

Cozy, Tranquil, Convenient

  • 4 of 5

Fish Creek Cottage was a great place to unwind and slow down. The wood fire, fantastic kitchen, and light and airy feel were highlights. Convenient to Fish Creek Village and stunning surrounding country-side and the Prom of course. Beds were great too! Thankyou!
