then enjoy your culinary delights around the alfresco dining setting.

From the front deck, marvel at the serenity of the dramatic escarpment view.

Family and child friendly: parents can relax and unwind as the Shack is fully fenced and has a children's play area.

You will just love the light and airy, beachy feel of The Shack so much that you may not want to leave!

"The Shack" is situated in a quiet street and is just a short stroll to the patrolled beach, ocean pool, the Coledale R.S.L, newsagent/corner store, cafes, restaurant, liquor shop, hairdresser, video shop and gift shop.

Local and other attractions:

Coledale is one of the prettiest coastal villages set between the escarpment and the sea.

The friendly, laid back village has everything you need for your holiday.

The patrolled beach (September - April), has good amenities and BBQ facilities just footsteps from the sand.

At low tide, spend some time exploring the rock platforms at either end of the beach.

Surfers will love the breaks at Sharky's and Tommo's.

Enjoy leisurely walks and bike rides along the coastal walking track.

Take a bushwalk up into the amazing escarpment and listen to all the bird calls.

Feel completely rejuvenated after taking a refreshing dip in the surf or ocean pool.

Then soak up some sunshine on Coledale's unspoilt and uncrowded beach.

The ever popular Coledale Markets has a great vibe and is held on the 4th Sunday of each month at the local primary school.

There is public transport available nearby, with a bus stop just down the road and the Coledale Train Station is about a 10 minute walk from The Shack.

Just a few minutes drive 'south' to Austinmer, you will find the newly opened Headlands Hotel where you can have a cold bevvy and a delicious meal whilst taking in the awesome views up and down the picturesque coastline.

Head into Thirroul to catch a show or band at Anita's Theatre or just enjoy a coffee or a nice meal in the variety of excellent restaurants and cafes. There are some great homeware boutiques, two grocery stores, antique shops, art gallery and a fabulous new playground at Thirroul beach for the kids.

Drive another 15 minutes south and visit the beautiful Wollongong harbour.

Or head further south and spend the day at the Jamberoo Action Park, near Kiama, it's definitely worth the drive.

A few minutes drive 'north' of Coledale, along the Grand Pacific Drive, you can have lunch at the trendy "Scarborough Pub" on your way to the renown "Sea Cliff Bridge" and take in the magnificient views of the Pacific Ocean.

Venture a bit further north to Bald HIll and watch hang-gliders take the plunge, or visit the fascinating "Symbio Wildlife Sanctuary" (bring your swimmers too, as there is a pool at the park).

Or pack a picnic and drive up through the lovely Royal National Park for a romantic day out.
