Inspirations on Bruny

Bedrooms 1
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 3 nights

About the property

Inspirations On Bruny is priced from $165 per night for 2 adults (sorry no children), and requires a minimum two night booking.

Originally constructed as an artists studio/retreat 'Inspirations' is a beautiful, environmentally friendly, haven perfectly suited as holiday accommodation for a relaxing break away from the stress of everyday city life, or as a romantic hideaway.

We at Inspirations are ever conscious that our accommodation is as eco-friendly as possible, while offering a high level of comfort and relaxation. With a wonderfully warm combustion fire, tank water, eco-friendly (water-less) composting toilet (out doors, along a wooden deck), wet-back, low flow water heating (heated from the fire with an electric back up system), this is truly a eco-lovers retreat. At the door we have visiting Quolls, rare and endangered native birds and even echidnas

Inspirations is ideally set up to accommodate a couple, with a queen sized bed in the single bedroom.

Beautiful views over the D'Entrecasteaux Channel are a feature in every room of your accommodation (even the toilet). Preparing meals in the kitchen, enjoying breakfast at the dining table or waking in the morning all allow you to enjoy the most serene scenery available in Tasmania.

The accommodation is stylishly and comfortably furnished including a comfortable sofa, two lounge chairs, LED television and blu-ray DVD player in the lounge. The dining table provides seating for four with views over the beach. A wood burning slow combustion stove provides excellent heating for the cottage. An ample supply of cut firewood is always available.

The single bedroom provides a comfortable queen sized bed with all bedding and an electric blanket for those crystal clear but chilly winter nights. A large wardrobe, and bedside drawers supply generous room for clothing during your stay. The wardrobe also contains extra blankets and a clothes iron if you require them during your accommodation.

The kitchen is set up with all necessities such as two burner stove/oven, microwave, fridges, electric toaster, and kettle. Of course, all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and plenty of storage are also available in the accommodation.

The bathroom contains a large cast iron bath, with shower over, a large basin, and an electric 'radiator' heater to warm your towel while you soak.

An environmentally friendly composting toilet is outdoors and comes with it's own view of the D'estraneaux Channel.

The large covered deck/verandah provides a four seat table setting, and gas barbeque for outdoor dining, again with extravagent views.

Sorry we do not allow pets!

Beautiful secluded place

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here, everything we needed to cook and eat inside by the fire. All those water views with the rugged bush was beautiful. Relaxing bath tub too!!! This is the place to stay if you want to be away from it all, drive 30-60 min to the all the foodie destinations and bush walks or stay in and all along the beach....

Great house with lovely views

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Inspirationa. The views were lovely and changed with the weather conditions.

It was great to experience an eco house.

Perfect spot at Bruny

  • 4 of 5

This is a small beach house overlooking Dennes Point with spectacular views. It is beautifully maintained and comfortable, with a faint smell of sweet wood smoke on entering. The handsome cafe down the road, designed by architect John Wardle, serves a fine breakfast.

Gorgeous views

  • 4 of 5

The house was beautiful and drinking wine on the deck while looking over the beach was so relaxing. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the outdoor toilet.

Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here, beautiful little house, had everything you needed, well kitted out. Less than a minutes walk down to the beach from the end of the garden. Views are amazing. Nice and quiet/restful atmosphere.

A good water filter for drinking water would be handy (as the rain water, although fine, was a little brackish to taste and discoloured). Nothing but praise though otherwise. Robyn was very friendly and helpful over the phone, and very accomodating for our last minute booking.
