Prague 1 - Stare Mesto Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

Situated in a newly renovated 15th century building (including newly installed elevator), Charles Bridge apartment offers visitors to the Golden Capital a central, safe and cozy accommodation option just a stones’ throw away from the famous Charles Bridge. The apartment is facing a shared courtyard with a hotel so there is no street noise in this newly remodeled medieval building which still retains many of its original features including oak staircase and vaulted ceilings. There is also a newly renovated restaurant with a terrace in the building which offers Czech fare and ice cold beer on tap. This apartment is ideal for couples but can also work for 3 or 4 people with a fold out couch/fold out bed available.

Charles Bridge apartment offers fully furnished rooms with new modern furniture and boasts a fully fitted kitchen corner, with new appliances including dish washer and microwave. Spacious bathroom offers shower and bath possibilities. Part of the equipment is a cable television, DVD player and free Wi-Fi internet connection.

Airport Transfer: The easiest and most convenient way to and from the airport is our pickup service in a price of 600 Czk (about 23 Euro) / 1 way, up to 4 people. Our driver speaks English and proximity of the apartment means it is only 20 to 30 minutes door to door.

If you prefer to take public transportation it is also relatively easy and will take you approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

We pride ourselves on excellent service and will do everything in our power to insure a smooth and relaxing visit to Prague. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this property or the others which I manage.

Amazing location, great apartment.

  • 5 of 5

You really cannot beat the location of this apartment - so close to the Charles Bridge that I took my morning coffee down to watch the city wake up! My husband and I walked to most of the major sights in Prague from this location - the Old Town, the Jewish Cemetery, the Opera, Petrin Park and Prague Castle and others. We stayed for 5 nights in May/June and were very pleased with the accommodations, it is spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was great and the kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and tidy. There are a few shops nearby for groceries and lots of cafes and restaurants. The free wifi in the apartment was very much appreciated as was the very affordable airport pick up option.

Petra was good at communicating with us and we had no issues when we arrived. Overall we had an excellent stay and would certainly stay here again next time in Prague!

Nice Cool Apartment But Needs a Bit of Updating

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights and were mostly satisfied. Very prompt responses from both Petra and Vladamir to our inquiries. It has been hot in Prague and we were concerned about ending up in a hot, stuffy place. Petra assured me when I inquired that the apt stayed cool as it opened onto an inner courtyard, which was indeed the case, and we used the fan provided so were very comfortable at any time of the day. Our other concern was quiet and it was pretty good although you are surrounded by other apartments and a hotel, all with windows opening onto the inner courtyard, and there is a restaurant below. We had no problem at night as there was no audible street noise but in the late evening one night there were a bunch of young students on the balconies and in the nearby rooms who were quite noisy and there can be noise from the restaurant below so if you like to nap at all during the day, this may not be the place for you. It is a good location if you like being right in the middle of a very busy, touristy area but we actually prefer being away from such areas. Also, I would say the apt is a bit worn and tired. Could use new bedding and towels, better lighting and not a great kitchen area. Really one room with WC and shower/sink rooms off the little foyer although we did have room to bring our bikes in. Probably decent value for the price. Very good wifi.

Great little apartment

  • 5 of 5

Great little apartment. Very close to the Charles Bridge with easy access to everything. We were happy to have Vladimir meet us at the airport and take us to the train station when we left. Petra was always available to answer our questions and Vladimir came right over when we locked ourselves out. We'd stay here again if we returned to Prague.

Easy Access to all of Prague

  • 4 of 5

Everything was pretty great. The location could not be better. Right off the Charles Bridge, base of the hill to the Castle, easy access to a major tram line and walking distance to Petrin Hill and the John Lennon Wall. You can get anywhere in the city from here. I walked to Old Town Square almost every evening via Charles Bridge. Also a decent array of restaurants in the immediate area and a Starbucks when you want to play it safe.

Petra and Vladimir were most helpful and Vladimir's transportation day trip rates are very affordable. My mother traveled with me and she can't walk great distances without resting. The car to Chesky Krumlof on a cold rainy day made all the difference.

The room is small, but more than adequate when you want to spend most of your time seeing the city and you can bring leftovers back or cook simple meals well enough. The only real drawback I feel I can mention is that the pictures, though accurate, made me think it was a bit bigger than it is. It is not much bigger than a standard hotel room. Technically, I can see it sleeping 4, but it really would be cozy. The double bed is a futon in the small hall. For two of us it was comfortable enough, even in the two beds. So if room size is an issue, think about that. But if having easy access to Prague is what you are looking for, this is the place.

Second Time

  • 5 of 5

Two years ago, I chose this apartment and had an awesome time in Prague. This time around, things were just as they were before, and once again, Petra and Vladimir made the process beyond easy. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, so you never have to worry about late night clubs keeping you awake. As a bonus, a tram stop and the Charles Bridge are just short walks away. Without a doubt, this place will once again be at the top of my list when I make it back to Prague. (Hopefully next year.)

Side note: For nearby restaurants, I highly recommend J.J. Murphy's, U Glaubicu, Bohemian Bagel, and El Centro.

Great location and beautiful apartment!

  • 5 of 5

You can't beat this location. It's right around the corner from Prague Castle and a short walk to St. Charles Bridge. We highly recommend JJ Murphy's Irish Pub just around the corner - the staff are amazing. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do in the area - including several inexpensive Thai Massage places, which are awesome! The apartment itself is very nice, clean and in a quiet location. The booking process with Petra was easy and Vladimir was kind enough to pick us up from the train station and take us to the apartment. We highly recommend this apartment if you are in Prague!
