Lifestyle - The Beach Club Port Douglas Accommodation Resort & Spa is perfectly situated in Port Douglas, only a couple of minutes walk (300m) to the beach & main street. This privately managed apartment is located in a prime ground floor position at The Beach Club with direct gated access to the beach side of the pool area. It has two bedrooms with one king bed and two full size day bed singles to accommodate up to four guests in style.

Port Douglas Accommodation - Master bedroom features king or twin single bedding, TV/DVD/Austar, air conditioning, adjoining bathroom and balcony. A second bedroom with two daybeds (same size as full size singles when made up as beds) shares easy access to the central bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge areas, full entertainment system including digital TV, CD/DVD player, stereo and Austar cable channels, opening onto an outdoor terrace with dining and bbq. Direct gated access to The Beach Club lagoon pool with sandy beach entry, from the terrace.

Features - All the facilities of The Beach Club Port Douglas accomodation resort are included, located just one block from the beautiful Four Mile Beach and trendy Macrossan Street with no need to hire a car. A 50m turquoise lagoon pool with sandy beach entry and Sublime restaurant are located on site. Enjoy the proximity to famous restaurants and bars offering live entertainment, boutiques, Marina Mirage for easy access to Great Barrier Reef trips and tours to the Daintree Rainforest.

This apartment is part of a dual key setup, giving the flexibility of three options;

Option 1 - A Two Bedroom Apartment with lounge, full kitchen, laundry and main bathroom (as described above and priced in this listing).

Option 2 - A Spa Studio with ensuite and balcony spa (search "111 Beach Club" for this Stayz listing).

Option 3 - Combine the Two Bedroom apartment and the Spa Studio creating a Three Bedroom two bathroom apartment (search "111/112 Beach Club" for this Stayz listing).

Due to the very high demand for these ground floor beach side apartments, this apartment and the apartment adjoining (search "114 Beach Club" for that Stayz listing) are exclusively managed by Belle Property. This means that you will save around $100pn compared to booking the same Beach Club apartment through the resort operator Peppers or a travel agent. We encourage you to compare tariffs and view the respective apartments.

The benefits of private management are that this apartment is better equipped with little extras that make your stay more enjoyable. The furnishings are improved and there is plenty of cutlery, crockery and glassware plus plastic ware and loads of utensils. You will notice extra touches like upgraded tv's, free DVDs, Blu-ray HD recorder/player, books and an ipod dock. There are plenty of places to hang towels in the bathroom and the second bedroom has firm comfortable day beds that can be made up as a king or two singles. In short this apartment has improved interior decoration to ensure it is superior to any of those through the resort operator Peppers. It achieves very high occupancy and is a first choice for those lucky enough to discover its benefits. It is impeccably maintained and definitely one of the best in the complex .... you be the judge.

The variations of private management are that you do not go to reception upon checkin as the reception desk is run by Peppers. Instead you either self checkin at your leisure (specific details provided upon booking) or you can be met upon arrival. You may also notice that there is no telephone in your apartment and you do not have a mini bar. You pay for items such as drinks from the bar, restaurant meals or in house massages at the time of service. With these minor variations you can expect to save over $100 per night (compared with Peppers or travel agent tariffs) and you will be staying in one of the most desirable apartments in the complex.

Room for improvement

Jenny was excellent. Calling prior to check in, meeting us and personally walk us to the room. However the general cleanliness of the room was not great particularly the bathrooms and kitchen. Room needs a vacuum cleaner given the pool sand. Most of the Peppers staff were not overly friendly. However the pool is the best pool for young children. The gym is also great.
