About Elsa Luhn

Originally from Germany, I love living in Denmark because of it's natural beauty, it's temperate climate and it's diverse community of interesting people from all walks of life.

Elsa Luhn purchased this house in 2008

Why Elsa Luhn chose Denmark

I loved Bombina Cottages from the moment I first saw the place. With it's amazing views and it's closeness to town while being a very quiet, rural property it is one of the best places I have ever lived. The wildlife you see at Bombina cottages is diverse and plentiful.

What makes this house unique

The stunning views from this cottage, the lovely atmosphere by the wood fire, the tranquility of the surrounding rural property as well as the kangaroos grazing nearby the cottage all infinitely enrich your stay at our Blue Wren cottage.

Blue Wren cottage stay

  • 5 of 5

Very Comfy. The view was awesome sitting on the deck watching the Kangaroos and birds. In the evening when it cooled down the fire place was so good to sit in front of.The location had us near all the sights and finding a place to have a bite to eat was easy. We'll be back.

Such a lovely cottage. Basic and yet breathtaking. A humble place, but well equipped. A smashing view from the bath tub in the Eco cottage! Fantastic for two couples with its separate wings. Birds, views, pot belly - brilliant.

one of my favourite places in the world

Basic but breath-taking cottages. Modest and well equipped. Some wonderful surprises - a smashing view to the ocean from the bath tub and a fantastic view from the upper bedroom in the Eco cottage. Great for two couples with the separate bedroom wings. Birds, views, pot-belly. The rooms are rustic and un-polished, but clean. Visits from kangaroos and one giant skink in the bathtub on arrival - an authentic local experience! Brilliant.

The location of this property is great, close to the town of Denmark but also far enough to be nice

  • 4 of 5

The location of this property is great, close to the town of Denmark but also far enough to be nice and quite, there is plenty of wildlife, we saw kangaroos, lizards, a snake and plenty of birds around this property. The views are also beautiful from the cottage, the cottage was nice and clean and well equipped for our family of 4. The beds were nice and comfy also which is always welcome at the end of a long day. I would highly recommend this place as good value for money. I just wish we could have stayed a little longer as Denmark was absolutely beautiful.
