Lovely Hobart experience

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed for 4 nights and it was a fabulous stay. West Hobart is great because you don't feel like a tourist, it's a very authentic experience. The house is tastefully decorated, has stunning views and is near the start of some great bushwalking tracks- loved the rivulet walk which Caroline recommended. I definitely recommend this home to others who want to experience one of the best Hobart suburbs.

Beautiful spot, fantastic house

  • 5 of 5

Such a beautiful spot 5 min drive from the city. Lovely views of the mountain and down to the water, quiet stunning area, great walks - and all close enough to Salamanca to walk!

We were so pleased with our choice I cannot recommend it enough. Was lovely to look out and see wallabies in our back and front yard! The house makes the most of the views and whether you want heat or breeze it is set up to catch either.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics - coffee, tea, sugar, spices - and everyone leaves something behind in the cupboard so there is quite a choice.

We were lucky enough to meet Caroline & Matt who were so accommodating & recommended great places for us to check out. Do yourself a favour and try Pigeonhole for the best coffee!

My family loved this spot and this house. We will definitely be back!

Lovely - Highly recommended

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for two nights and it felt like 4. It's in a quite area and the walk into hobart along the rivulet is wonderful. We found the bedrooms smaller than we expected but that really did not matter. Kitchen really well appointed and loved that there were a few staples in the cupboards. Its just a $10 ride into the city if you don't hire a car and the walk is 20 mins. Highly recommend this property - we will stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi David and Kylie, so pleased you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to give you extra early check in! We love the walk into the CBD and then returning to the tranquil surrounds. What can I say about the bedrooms? They are both queen size rooms with high quality bedding and views to the leafy bush and city. Unfortunately there's not a lot we can do to make the rooms bigger :).

Loved loved loved.

We loved this property. We live in a Heritage House with the attendant clutter that goes with. This is stylish, modern, clean and above all, comfortable.we sat for hours in the gorgeous chairs staring at the trees, watching the Wallaby and listening to and watching the Cockatoos. The house is quick to warm and well equipped. There was an ample supply of very welcome tea, coffee, sugar etc and a very well filled spice rack. There were dishwasher tablets and washing machine powder. We were made very welcome and had a great stay. everything works and there were no hiccups. The bathroom is lovely and the water plentiful.

As a neurotic, I would have like a stick vac so that I could have whizzed over the floors.
