Stayed at this quaint bungalow over the Christmas holidays. Simply loved it and Grace did an excellent job introducing us to all the are has to offer.
- Well stocked kitchen with organic coffee and enough cookware to make a feast
- Open backyard with bbq, hot tub, chairs
- Great Hikes (Mt. Mitchell, Dupont Forest etc.)
- Perfect movie collection and holistic book collection for rainy days in the loft
- Close to Asheville and Henderson
- Bonus: welcome bottle of wine!
Only heads up is that the upstairs bathroom is an open set-up. Did not bother us, but just a heads up.
Came with two friends to attend a nearby Fiber Arts Festival. We had a GREAT time and all of us plan to come back by ourselves or with other people. The place was wonderfully stocked (including a surprise bottle of wine!) and the area is fantastic. Asheville is close but you could easily never go farther than Hendersonville and have everything you could ever want. Great little downtown area. We ate at Mezzaluna one night and Fidelia's one morning and both were great. And we didn't even get to any of the hiking and outdoors stuff. I'd love to come back by myself with my dog, and one of my friends wants to come back with her husband. Just wonderful.
Thanks so much for a great place to stay!
Well, I am amiss at being so late to write our review from our stay a month ago, but time does not dim the wonderful memory. This was our second stay at Moonbeam. Going back again, I was a little apprehensive of the thought "would it live up to our memory of our first stay?" We were blown away with our initial impression of the beautiful setting, unique design, and artistic décor. The worries were unfounded! It was just as awesome the second visit. This time we brought friends too, who stayed in the Satellite. It was cool to see their reaction to one of our new favorite places in the world. The temperature was cool enough to enjoy the fire pit and spend a relaxed evening visiting around the welcoming glow. These places are so well located as a home base to explore the vast wonders of the area, but the bungalows are so homey and enchanting that we found it very difficult to pry ourselves away from them. We could have been ecstatic to never get back in the car and stay there all weekend. It is a MUST return for us. Grace & Crew are incredibly friendly and great to deal with.
We LOVED staying in this bungalow! It was someplace that we never wanted to leave! Everything was very clean and so well maintained and there were so many extras! I would recommend!
scaled down version. Not high end, eclectic, but functional. The best part in my view was that it does not come empty. Forgot coffee filters, olive oil, extension cord, dishwasher soap? Dig around and you will find some. Need a ladder, odd tool? It's there. Seems the guests contribute items along the way. Hot tub is clean and works really well. Fire pit, wood supplied. In short, it was perfect for me and my 3 teenage boys. Grace is responsive and helpful. Great experience.
We adored staying here! It was cute, cozy, clean, peaceful, and close to beautiful hiking. We enjoyed using the hot tub, outside grill, and nicely stocked kitchen. It's a magical place!
