We live in Palm Springs and love coming up to Idyllwild. We didn't intend on buying a cabin, but when we saw this one come on the market, we couldn't resist. Perfect combination of peace and quite, views and privacy.
Paul Zapala purchased this cabin in 2011
This is an ideal location at the end of the street. It has great views, is very private, and isn't in a crowded area of cabins. Being the last house on the street and with a strong slope to the next lot, you don't have a house in the view's way.
This is the ultimate getaway for those that want to check out and just enjoy some peaceful mountain air and scenery. You relax the minute you step on the deck. Put some bird seed in the bird feeder and watch the wildlife around you.

Paul's Cabin has everything you need. The view is awesome. The location is great at the end of quiet street. Our family loves to start our year off here. Paul, thanks for making your cabin available. Having tried other places over the years we know a great place when we find it. No more hunting on the internet for us. Looking forward to our next visit.
This is a repeat visit for us... and I know this wont be the last. Love the feeling of the cabin...like home... I could have stayed for days just snuggled up with my book, a fire, and the snuggies from the closet (great idea Paul!). Plenty of space, yet small and cozy. Perfect place to get away... cant wait to return.
This is the second time I've stayed here in the last 12 months. I'm already looking at my schedule for my next stay. The property once again is immaculate. Can't ask for anything more. We went thru a snow storm where we actually couldn't leave. Paul was a great help and comforter for my wife. We got some chains delivered for my truck and was able to leave the town before the next storm hit. It was my first time ever seeing snow fall let alone a storm. I got a lot of great pics. Neighbors were very helpful in saying "You aren't getting out of here today! with a smile" It was a great adventure and all that I could ask for on my Birthday.
Thanks Paul for everything!
My husband and our two little ones played in the snow and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. Other than a snow plow we heard nothing from the outside world and that is exactly what we were looking for. Be sure to arrive before the sunsets, they are beautiful from the porch.
Naughty Pines is such a cool place. I've been here twice with my wife, kid and dog and we have a blast everytime. It's down at the bottom of a hill and overlooks the Hemet Valley. There's a huge "backyard" area where you can go for little mini-hikes and catch some cool views and sunsets. But the sunsets are great from every room in the house. Pine Cove is super chill too and only 10 mins from the center of Idyllwild. Our only advice is bring chains/cables with you if you are going in the winter, even if the DOT says you don't have to. Because it's at the bottom of a hill, when the roads ice it can be challenging to get down and up and this last time we almost ran into a fellow motorist who was spinning out at the bottom of the hill trying to get up on an exceptionally cold afternoon/evening. But you should just have chains in the winter no matter what you never know what the weather may bring.
Our parents stayed in this cabin while we stayed at Timbered Pines. What a great setup for a group or large family! We enjoyed the great sunsets on the deck and cooking great meals each night. Timbered Pines is always a favorite cabin rental for us.
