Luxury and location does not get any better than Shingles Delight. Perfectly kept lawn with scattered trees leading down to your own sandy beach, making this the ideal location to enjoy your lake front holiday. Step into another world that is only 55 minutes from Hornsby.
Shingles is truly a home away from home with all the comforts you could dream. The spacious 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has an abundance of character, it was built to resemble a home in the Hamptons. With shingled feature walls, a slate roof and large open spaces the quality of the architecture itself is reason enough to visit for a weekend.

When you want to kick back in luxury with someone special or bunk in with a large group, this is the perfect location.
The large and fully equipped kitchen is ideal for all budding master chefs. A dining experience that looks directly onto the lake makes for a romantic candle lit dinner or extends to seat 12 adults for a gourmet feast. The sunset colours are mesmerizing as the sun disappears behind the lake.
Shingles is a place for togetherness and fun. The 3/4 size Abbot and Doyle snooker table will test your aim as you rest by the fire place in winter. In summer you open the doors with so much lawn for everyone to play cricket under the sun or under the spotlights in the evening. Bring your kayaks for a paddle or throw in a line from your own private beach to catch a few flatty or whiting for dinner.
Shingles is an amazing location for the boat enthusiast. Ski, wakeboard and tube all day on of the most protected bay in the Lake. This is where the locals come to ski even when the wind gets up. There is nothing better than a day of water activity on your own shoreline where you can park your craft at your own sandy beach. If you prefer to sail, enjoy Australia's largest salt water lake at your leisure when the breeze picks up. For large boats there are two boat ramps just 1km along the waterfront.
If all that activity is too much for you then kick back in your hammock as there is no better location for a long afternoon in the shade while sampling some of the Hunter's best Semillion.
Shingles doubles as a great luxury romantic manor, or as a getaway for a larger group sleeping up to 14 people.

We had an amazing time staying at Shingles Delight. It is a well presented house at a great location. Kylie was very accommodating and communicated well. The only negative was the lack of BBQ. We were told well in advance that the BBQ was not working however having a BBQ would make preparing meals on a holiday much easier.
Carpets upstairs and downstairs are so old and smelly, house's stuffy, dirty, poor lighting and needs more windows - so sufficated . For the amount of money you've paid per night so so not worth it staying at this place. Would not come back or recommend anyone! House needs a reno!
Shingles Delight has had 50 online reviews, 49 of these have been positive and then there was this guest. Every room in my house has a window and 90% of them are floor to almost ceiling windows. Of course, you need to physically open the curtains and the windows to see the sunshine, the amazing water views and for the lake breeze to flow in. It's a spacious, homely house that is very well suited to have a group of up to 14 people stay.
Great spot for a sml or lg group, really nice house, we really enjoyed our time there.
We had an absolute ball staying at shingles Delight. The house was incredible, everyone slept comfortably and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. Gorgeous location and we were lucky with the weather. Kylie was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. We definitely recommend this property and will be back again!
Great property for a large group.
Had a lovely weekend with extended family.Plenty to do....or great spots to chillax.
14 of us were very comfortable & Kylie was extremely helpful. Will be back!
Great property and excellent location
We loved the location and everything about the house! Only negative was that arriving late the house was absolutely freezing and the only form of heating was the wooden fire which took the whole night to warm the place. I understand the fire risk for heaters but perhaps a reverse cycle air conditioner might be the solution for (the becoming more frequent) very cold and hot nights!!
