Pennsylvania Dutch Country House Rental Photos and Description

5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a full mattress in the basement room. sleeps 12

Leacock home is less than a mile off Route 30 making it accessible and near to many attractions. We are less than 10 minutes to Rockvale Square Outlets, Tanger Outlets, and Dutch Wonderland. Also nearby are Strasburg Railroad and Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre. Cherry Crest Farms, a corn maze, is minutes away and Lititz is a quaint town you won't want to miss! All the attractions in Hershey, Pa are about an hour away. Drive only a few miles north or south and you will be in true Amish farmland.

Leacock Home is a fully renovated early 1900's brick house with gorgeous hardwood floors throughout. We've warmly decorated each room with our collection of auction finds and modern decor. The kitchen is adequately stocked for home cooking and baking. The counter island is central to the downstairs living areas and boasts 5 high bar stools. The dining room table seats 10 comfortably and holds extra chairs for crowding around! The living room has leather furniture, side chairs, an area rug, and the TV. There is a bedroom and full bath on the first floor, perfect for those wanting to avoid stairs. The laundry, with it's washer and dryer, is open and you are welcome to use our detergent.

Upstairs are 4 more spacious bedrooms, each with quality mattresses and linens. The beds are made, ready to settle in for the night! Every room has lots of windows each of which is dressed in a privacy shade. There are 2 full baths upstairs. One is in the Master Suite and the other is off the hallway, made for sharing. There's plenty of new towels/washcloths.

We finished renovations in the basement and now provide you with extra space for the kiddos to play or watch TV/movies. There's a sofa, love seat, chair, bed, and small table for playing cards, etc. It's a cozy go-to spot that grown-ups will enjoy, too! Bring your own FULL-SIZED SHEET SET if you plan on using the mattress in the basement.

This house is great for families! Whether you stay for one night or a week, you will be pleasantly comfortable in this clean, beautiful 'new' home. There's plenty of pillows, beautiful bedding, and cozy beds to ensure a good nights rest. We hope you'll enjoy our Paradise, Pennsylvania!

WE HAVE WIFI - password provided during your stay.

About Lil Nissley

Dave and I (Lil) have been married 20+ years and have 4 great kids! We as a family maintain our 3 vacation homes, sharing the cleaning, and other responsibilities.

Lil Nissley purchased this house in 2011

Why Lil Nissley chose Pennsylvania Dutch Country

We bought this almost finished/newly renovated house as an investment and had fun working together to establish this vacation home. It is newly painted, furnished, etc. We have decorated with a collection of auction pieces, thrift shop finds, and just enough of new items to pull it all together. You will love the front porch and the few chairs to relax on or the very private back patio with cushioned furniture, grill, and hot tub.

Beautiful home with a great location!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The house is the nicest I've rented. Everything is exactly as pictured and more. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and nicely decorated. Plenty of room inside and out. Outdoor area was great to relax in the evenings. Kitchen was very well stocked and loved the open layout with the dining and living room. We did run into a problem with our coffee pot but when I contacted Lil and she brought a replacement that evening!! Amazing service!! I have rented many times before but this owner goes above and beyond. Would definitely stay again!!

Owner's Response: It is always our goal to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Dave and I can't go a morning without coffee, so a broken carafe equates an emergency!!

Fantastic house!

  • 5 of 5

My Family spent 4 nights in this house (there were 9 of us) this past November. This is such a great house, we had plenty of room and it was beautifully decorated. The house itself lacked nothing, very well stocked. We made a fire every night, utilized the hot tub, and drank our coffee on the porch every morning. It was close enough to everything, but away from the hustle of vacationers. The owners were very kind, my mom forgot her medication when we left, and they were kind enough to mail it to us. I can't wait to get back to this house for our annual trip!

Great Columbus Day Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We are a party of six women friends who stayed in this lovely home for Columbus Day weekend.

It was wonderful to have plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. etc. Everyone said they found the beds to be comfortable. Nice extras were included, like chocolate-cover biscotti by the coffee pot. Plenty of room at the dining room table. Enjoyable seating area outside.

Attractions were close by.

Overall a great place to stay!

Great place in Paradise

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I and two other couples stayed here for 4 nights. It was wonderful. Quiet yet close to Lancaster and many of the other sights. The accommodation was clean and well kept. The hot tub couldn't have been better. It is ideal for a group of folks given that it has 3 full bathrooms. It was well worth the cost and we certainly recommend the accommodation.

Owner's Response: September in Lancaster is a beautiful time of year! Cooler evenings make the hot tub a real treat, i agree! Keeping a neat and clean house is high on our list of priorities for our guests to be able to relax and enjoy their vacations. It is always a blessing and encouragement when folks leave the house in such a manner as shows respect toward us and others who will also stay here in the future. Thank-you, you make our 'job' a pleasure!

Great property - watch the world go by

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house for visiting Pennsylvania. The house is clean, nicely furnished and has all mod cons. In the morning we ate breakfast out the back in the rustic sun shade. We didn't use the hot tub (weather was too hot) but would be good with nice views of fields behind the house. I sat on the porch in the mornings drinking my coffee watching the Amish men and women go by in their horse drawn buggies - a friendly wave was always there. The house is handy for Lancaster, visiting the many covered bridges and all of the other local attractions you can find on Trip Advisor. Lil was very responsive - you can rent this property with the knowledge you are dealing with genuine people who can be trusted.

Owner's Response: We love hearing how our guests enjoy the house and grounds as well as the surrounding area, whether it be paid for attractions or simply appreciating our historic landmarks. We're glad we can trust and be trusted in this great rental system that VRBO and HomeAway has created!
