This property (Songline) is the ultimate luxury villa with sea views to die for - easterly across Byron Bay, and north to Hastings Point. Songline sets the benchmark for luxury and privacy that others can only aspire to. Built on a cul-de-sac, she is the nearest house to the beach and enjoys both quiet and privacy. No expense has been spared in creating this paradise.
Indulge in a tasteful blend of New Mexico (adobe) and Balinese styles, jarrah (the finest WA wood) and marble flooring, solid hand carved merbau doors, marble bathrooms with double baths and onyx hand basins, fine antiques, wrap around decks, limestone terraces, fish ponds, Buddha fountains, and Balinese statues. Each of the five double bedrooms has its own terrace or balcony.
Kick back on the finest King furnishings(Jasper) in the 6m by 10m living room (built to the golden mean proportions of sacred geometry), with 3.5 m ceilings, and huge sliding glass doors to the north, east and west allowing total indoor/outdoor living and cool cross ventilation from the sea breezes. A Songline (a line of electro magnetic energy, sacred to Indigenous Australians, and known as a ley line in the UK, and a dragon line in China) runs east west through this room, and continues out to Julian Rocks in the Pacific Ocean.
Enjoy cooking? You'll love the professional ILVE stove complete with teppanyaki (Japanese style barbecue), and Large French style LG fridge and Siemens dishwasher.
Outside on the kitchen deck you will find a new Weber Barbecue that guarantees to produce really great tasting food.
Dark green marble counter tops and jarrah faced cupboards make a kitchen that is a joy to be in. Standing at the sink there is an uninterrupted view across Byron Bay to the lighthouse. Enjoy indoor or outdoor dining overlooking the Bay. Songline has Grohe taps and showers throughout.
Gaze out over the 13.5m infinity (wet edge) turquoise pool across the bay to the lighthouse while curled up with a book on one of the numerous day beds on the deck, or sun lounges around the pool. Feel the soft health enhancing colloidal silver water caressing your skin like the hair of a mermaid, and notice the complete absence of any offensive chemical smells, such as chlorine or bromine.
Luxuriate in the colloidal silver hot spa under a stunningly starlit sky, with Byron Bay twinkling in the distance, or relax in the four person infra red sauna, with negative ion generator, colour light therapy and CD player.
Sleep peacefully to the music of the waves, and rise to the calls of kookaburras, lorikeets and parakeets.
Experience the harmony of a home built in accordance with Feng Shui principles.
In front of the house are ancient rocks where Indigenous Australians gathered to debate lore. These circles of rocks are said to be portals.
Cycle to Byron Bay or Brunswick Heads along the beach at low tide.
Fine dining and dancing with live music are a 10-15 minute drive away in Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads, where you also find supermarkets and liquor stores.
N.B. Songline is a shoe free, smoke free, pet free and party free house. We do have neighbours (behind and beside the house), so in accordance with the law, there is a strict 10pm - 8am noise curfew Sunday - Thursday, and Midnight - 8am on Friday and Saturday and Public holidays. If you want to have late night parties please do not apply to rent this property.
Please bring slippers for indoor shoe wear if the weather requires.
This is a luxury house, not a party house. She is ideal for those who appreciate the good things in life and know how to treat them. We have found from experience that although our renters treat the property and furniture with respect, sometimes their guests do not. We therefore request that our renters agree to have no more than 5 guests at the house at any one time, unless you have made a prior agreement with the owner.
NB Songline has a fish pond. As required by local council rules there is a barrier set in it at a depth of 35cm. However we recommend that it is not safe for unsupervised children under 4 years of age.
Special arrangements can be made for weddings etc with advance notification.
