You are free to explore our 40 acres, meet our friendly sheep alpacas, chooks and cows. You can leave your busy city life behind you. Spend the days bush walking, riding Puffing Billy, grape grazing at local wineries, cycling, even snow playing in winter.. then relax and unwind in the spa bath, cook a BBQ whilst watching a spectacular sunset over the ranges.
Once the stars are out in the clear country sky, the wildlife is active. Wombats, koalas, kangaroos and bandicoots are some of the animals you'll spot at Hoddles Hideaway. The birdlife is also abundant, no noise, no neighbours, just peace and quiet.

A gorgeous place with lovely hosts, which met all well above our expectations!
Hospitable hosts, especially accommodating to families with children. Meeting the farm animals and assisting with a feed was wonderful, as was riding on the flying fox among the cows. Comfortable, picturesque with an amazing view of the sunset. The suggestions for places provided to us was really helpful. Really appreciate everything, and for just making our stay a memorable one
Thank you Soula. We loved having you stay and we were so happy to see you enjoy the animals and flying fox!! Hope you can stay another time soon. Kath and Mark
Great mini getaway
We had a great stay! Kath was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would totally recommend 😀
A wonderful retreat for us and the kids
We had a lovely time enjoy some peace and quiet. Our 2.5 year old and 5 year old loved exploring, feeding the animals, using the flying fox, collecting sticks and playing make believe all over the place. Evenings with wine and exhausted children looking at the stars and the moon and a well equipped spotlessly clean kitchen were highlights for me. There were a few games for the kids and some DVD’s; enough to keep them entertained indoors when required. Would recommend without question. It was exactly what I had hoped for and the whole family had a ball. Do bring your gumboots though. It’ll make it easy exploring the farm and leaving the dirt, mud and the rest outside while keeping your shoes in good nick!
Excellent stay with the family
Our family of 5 consisting of 2x 2 year olds, a 4 1/2 year old and us two adults stayed st Hoddles creek for 3 nights.
We purchased the breakfast basket which was in the kitchen upon arrival. (For parents please note, its light milk which young children aren't meant to drink so don't forget to ask for full cream). It consisted of a small bottle of milk, some butter, bread, jar of jam, some bacon, eggs & tomatoe.
The house is a little dated but well presented. The mattresses are very firm which didn't make for the most restful nights sleep. We found a few cobwebs, the bbq very rusty and the linen is different to the photos but that didn't really impact our stay. We could easily fit 2 cots in the bottom room and could have fit 4 easily in the master upstairs which is handy to note for HOM families. It also has 2 large baths for the kids.
Kath was easily approachable, I texted her for an extra pot when the one I found was dirty and she brought over a clean one straight away. And even when my husband decided to rearrange the lovely stone wall out the front. eep!
The property itself has a few paddocks. Cows, 4 sheep, 2 alpacas & some chickens. It's very secluded so very quiet, the main house is seperated from the holiday house by a few grape vines and a drive way. My 4yr old loved feeding the animals and watching the cows from the house window.
Overall a good stay.
Beautiful weekend getaway!
Great location and Kath was very helpful in recommending places to visit nearby. Our daughter loved meeting and feeding the farm animals and toasting marshmallows on the fire! We will be back!
Beautiful house on a great property
Stayed here with my wife and daughter for 4 days. House was beautiful and had everything we required for our stay. Loved feeding the animals and in close proximity to puffing billy and wineries. Kath was a lovely host and very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommended.
Thank you Phillip. It was a pleasure having you. I think the animals are missing your daily visits!!. We look forward to your return stay.
