3 bdrm/3 bath main house and attached 2 bdrm guest house with shared bath
This comfortable and roomy adobe home is ideal for a group of friends or a large family. It is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street with lovely private gardens, outdoor eating areas with views toward the mountains. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill in the historic Eastside.
The main house has 3 large bedrooms (king, queen and two twins) each with their own bath and fireplace. The attached guest house is a two bedroom that sleeps 4, but only has one bath that must be shared. This guest house is very comfortable with its own kitchen, private entry and separate garden. There is access between the main house and guest house if desired, or they can be kept separate.
This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room.
You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances in the main house are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas). Many things come Thailand where I work as a geologist and we lived until late 2017. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).
This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

About Scott Wong
We are two new "empty nesters" looking forward to living permanently in our Santa Fe home. For the next few years we will open up our house to guests during the times we can't be there ourselves. We've recently returned to the USA after living in Thailand for almost 11 years and we're excited to be closer to family and friends.
Scott Wong purchased this House in 2011
Why Scott Wong chose Historic Eastside
It is simply a comfortable and unpretentious home set in a beautiful and peaceful area close to downtown. What's not to like?
What makes this House unique
Nature and privacy
As a homeowner of a luxury property myself that I rent on Nantucket, this property exceeded my expectations. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the interior is impeccably maintained and just as lovely as the exterior. It was a perfect venue for a reunion of four couples, who went to college over 40 years ago. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
I hate to write a good review, because then others will find out about this fabulous home!
We were 5 'retirees' out for our annual girls trip. We try to go new places each spring, and now we have decided - why, when we can just come here and have absolutely everything we need...and all within walking distance (give or take). See you in 2 years!! Stunning, absolutely stunning.
A perfect VRBO experience! Beautifully designed and decorated home in a quiet, convenient location.
I visited Santa Fe with four friends, to celebrate a birthday. It was a wonderful vacation, with hiking at Tent Rocks and Bandelier National Parks, gallery tours, and fantastic spa and dining experiences at Ten Thousand Waves and Geronimo. If you stay at this beautiful home, I predict it will one of your favorite VRBO experiences.
Perfect family getaway
What a gorgeous home! Architecture, art, outdoor space, amenities...it has it all. It was easy to check in, and the best part was the ease of walking into town, and a short cut to Canyon Road. We hardly wanted to go out, it was so easy to just sit and catch up with family members. Excellent restaurants were close by, and the fully equipped kitchen was a treat. Thank you so much for probably the best vrbo we have ever stayed in.
Beautiful home. Perfect for our family retreat needs.
Loved the location and the amenities.
Wonderful place for our family Thanksgiving!
Casa Nova was the perfect setup for our holiday get together. We had 11 people present, which consisted of two couples with a small child, two couples and one single individual. There was plenty of room. The two kitchens are preparing our Thanksgiving meal much easier. We all appreciated the decor of the house and the landscaping in the garden. We would definitely look into renting Casa Nova again, in the future.
Our house is located exactly 1 mile from the downtown Plaza and closer to Canyon Road. It is an easy walk for most people in good physical condition, but the altitude (the elevation at our house is 7200') makes it harder to catch your breath if you aren't acclimated. The elevation at the plaza is 6955'. This 245' difference is about the same that you experience walking up Canyon Road to visit the art galleries. If you go slowly the walk will take you 30 minutes downhill and 45 minutes to return...well worth the time. When my parents visit (early 80's), they walk downhill from the house to the Plaza and we pick them up near Loretta Chapel.
