Overview

Santa Fe House Rental Photos and Description

3 bdrm/3 bath main house and attached 2 bdrm guest house with shared bath

This comfortable and roomy adobe home is ideal for a group of friends or a large family. It is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street with lovely private gardens, outdoor eating areas with views toward the mountains. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill in the historic Eastside.

The main house has 3 large bedrooms (king, queen and two twins) each with their own bath and fireplace. The attached guest house is a two bedroom that sleeps 4, but only has one bath that must be shared. This guest house is very comfortable with its own kitchen, private entry and separate garden. There is access between the main house and guest house if desired, or they can be kept separate.

This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room.

You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances in the main house are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas) and our adopted Thai homeland where I work as a geologist. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).

This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

Exceeded all expectations!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We knew this home was beautiful from looking at the pictures but seeing it in person far exceeded our expectations. The main home and casita were exquisite. Both homes were furnished luxuriously and yet authentically Santa Fe. Five star quality throughout the entire property. The views were simply amazing. We enjoyed our week in paradise and look forward to returning.

We had a great stay at Casa Nova! The house was well equipped, clean, and even nicer than in the pictures. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you!

Great Location, Great Property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 15 days and had a fabulous time. 2 Adults and 4 kids in the main house and 2 adults in the Casita. Great location - close enough to town but also secluded enough to capture the calm and great views of Santa Fe. We have lived in Santa Fe and have been visiting for the past 30 years and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Thanks so much!

Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time hosting a family reunion here. We used both the main house and attached Casita. The layout of the property is fantastic. It really does feel secluded and away from it all even though you are only a mile south of the plaza. We sat in the beautiful garden by the fire pit every single night to soak up the cool mountain air. The house is very well furnished, and it was handy to have two kitchens and clothes washing areas. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a great stay!

The PERFECT Santa Fe house

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed at Casa Nova with my 81 year old mom, sister and 4 sister-in-laws. It was the perfect house for us. The location is amazing - so close to Canyon Road and the Plaza yet we felt like we were so secluded when we were at the house. Casa Nova is in the most peaceful setting with beautiful gardens, amazing sunsets and views. The house it decorated beautifully, bedrooms and beds very comfortable, pretty bathrooms and fabulous kitchen! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for letting us use your slice of heaven!!!

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

My group of friends and I have stayed at many places but now this place has spoiled us. Casa Nova and the Casita far exceeded our expectations! While no place is perfect, this place is certainly very very close. The house is beautiful, well appointed and well thought out. The location could not be better. So close to center of town, yet you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere with just stunning views of the mountains filling the windows of the back of the house. My hope and dream is to return to Santa Fe and this house in particular, again and again. Bravo to Scott Wong for offering such a nice place and being an excellent person to deal with!

Our house is located exactly 1 mile from the downtown Plaza and closer to Canyon Road. It is an easy walk for most people in good physical condition, but the altitude (the elevation at our house is 7200') makes it harder to catch your breath if you aren't acclimated. The elevation at the plaza is 6955'. This 245' difference is about the same that you experience walking up Canyon Road to visit the art galleries. If you go slowly the walk will take you 30 minutes downhill and 45 minutes to return...well worth the time. When my parents visit (early 80's), they walk downhill from the house to the Plaza and we pick them up near Loretta Chapel.
