Secluded adobe home and casita in the heart of the Eastside.

Bedrooms 5
Space 4,300 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 - 6 nights

About the property

3 bdrm/3 bath main house and attached 2 bdrm guest house with shared bath

This comfortable and roomy adobe home is ideal for a group of friends or a large family. It is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street with lovely private gardens, outdoor eating areas with views toward the mountains. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill in the historic Eastside.

The main house has 3 large bedrooms (king, queen and two twins) each with their own bath and fireplace. The attached guest house is a two bedroom that sleeps 4, but only has one bath that must be shared. This guest house is very comfortable with its own kitchen, private entry and separate garden. There is access between the main house and guest house if desired, or they can be kept separate.

This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room.

You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances in the main house are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas) and our adopted Thai homeland where I work as a geologist. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).

This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

Very well designed and perfect for our family.

We loved this home. It was so well thought out with the design and very well stocked with all the kitchen utensils one could need. The setting was gorgeous and such a short walk downtown. We are planning our next trip to this lovely home!

Terrific home

  • 5 of 5

It was the most amazing house with attached casita. I felt like i had arrived in Santa Fe heaven. Both homes are beautifully appointed, comfortable, and definitely a retreat. I would also recommend this for strategic/team planning sessions. The houses are so well placed and furnished that it makes any occasion a breeze. Will definitely keep it in the list for future use and to recommend to others.

Exceeded our expectations

  • 4 of 5

Home was warm and inviting. Worked out well for our family vacation. Located on a culdasac so it was private and quiet. Beautifully furnished, just what you would expect to see in a Santa Fe home. It had every ammenity you need for a four day stay. Five minute drive to the plaza. Especially noteworthy was the view of the mountains from the living room window. If you are looking for a upscale home to spend your Santa Fe vacation, then I highly recommend you consider this property.

Private, Charming, and Location, Location, Location - What more could you want?

My family and I stayed at this lovely home and casita for a mini family reunion the week before Christmas. There were seven of us ranging in age from 19 to 90. This lovely home offeres a chance to rest, relax, and just lay back if that is what one wants. The beds are superb, The bathrooms are furnished with high-quality towels. The architectural design offers each bedroom and bathroom suite a high degree of privacy. There is a lovely living room with very comfortable seating, a nice fireplace and lovely views in the center of the home. There is a well-stocked kitchen also centrally located. The casita offers two good-sized bedrooms and a bathroom, a nice size kitchen and living area. It is larger than some apartments I have seen. There is also a patio with outside seating and nice views though being December we did not utilize that amenity. The location of this property is priceless. We enjoyed walking down to the local market for a few things, but it is a 10 minute drive to Whole Foods for a bigger purchase. We had two rental cars and there was ample parking, which is a real bonus in Santa Fe. However, my favorite feature is that this property is an easy walk to Canyon Road for viewing the galleries or grabbing a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Is also an easy walk to the famous Santa Fe Plaza. We did more driving than normally we would do just because of the cold weather, but I noted this fact for future reference. Our 19-year-old was able to get out on her own and not be cooped up with a bunch of old folks! We had a grand time and really enjoyed the home and the loveliness of Santa Fe. My sister commented that she would love to come back here during the summer. That idea certainly gets my vote and we would surely stay here again in an instant.

A lovely home!

  • 5 of 5

This home is lovingly appointed and so very comfortable. We were 9 adults celebrating my mom's 90th birthday. The three bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house allowed for privacy as did the casita (with two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen). The gourmet kitchen, dining room and living room were a great place to gather and cook and visit. We used the fire pit and seats outside to sip drinks and chat and watch the day turn to evening. We enjoyed using the living room fireplace and one of the bedroom kivas. We all loved our stay here. It was peaceful and relaxing. The property was super clean and well-maintained. It was easy to contact Scott by email and he responded quickly the one time we had a question. This home is so very beautiful. It is evident how much care and thought went into the design of this home by the owners. On the kitchen window the owner had two different rabbit sculptures. One morning we were lucky enough to see a rabbit (or maybe a jackrabbit?) outside that window.

This home is a must for anyone. It is beautiful and comfortable. The photographs are good but the home is even more lovely in person. The neighborhood is quiet and close to Museum Hill. It was easy to drive to the Plaza. I absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Santa Fe.

Our house is located exactly 1 mile from the downtown Plaza and closer to Canyon Road. It is an easy walk for most people in good physical condition, but the altitude (the elevation at our house is 7200') makes it harder to catch your breath if you aren't acclimated. The elevation at the plaza is 6955'. This 245' difference is about the same that you experience walking up Canyon Road to visit the art galleries. If you go slowly the walk will take you 30 minutes downhill and 45 minutes to return...well worth the time. When my parents visit (early 80's), they walk downhill from the house to the Plaza and we pick them up near Loretta Chapel.
