PLEASE NOTE: Our week is based on six (6) nights, from Saturday at 10 am to Friday at noon.
Absolutely stunning lake views from this very peaceful 2 level lakefront home. Sleeps 16-18 comfortably. This lake community is located just 60 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., halfway between historic Fredricksburg and Culpeper, Virginia, on Route #3. This lakefront home is situated in 'Lake of the Woods', an exclusive gated golf community. It is perfect for a romantic get-away; a relaxing retreat for entertaining family and friends; perfect for reunions and fun vacations. This home has over 5000 sq. ft on 2 levels., is located on a private cul-de-sac, and has driveway parking for 6-8 vehicles. The main level features kitchen with wet bar, great room with 60 in. tv and wood burning fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a separate dining room. The lower level includes a second kitchen, large recreation room, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths.
The kitchen has beautiful corian countertops, and opens to a 36' great room complete with wet bar and wood burning fireplace. This house is built for comfort, not luxury. You can put your feet up and relax!
An expansive deck runs the full length of the house, and includes a 12' by 36' screen porch with variable speed ceiling fans. It's a great place to enjoy drinks and serve lunch or supper to your guests.
The rear of the house is all glass (sliding glass doors) and all rear rooms have spectacular views of the Lake. The home has an exclusive private dock for swimming, fishing, kayaking, pedal boating and canoeing (life jackets and floats for lounging in the water are all provided!).
Lake of the Woods amenities are: private PGA 18 hole golf course, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, sandy beaches, tennis, sailing, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball and fine dining at the clubhouse. Sightseeing includes shopping in Fredericksburg and Culpeper; visiting Civil War battlefields, Luray Caverns, Kings Dominion, Washington, D.C. and local wineries.
The clubhouse is just 1/2 mile away and offers wonderful cuisine at reasonable prices. It has a bar, grill room and formal dining room and a large deck overlooking the Lake. Our favorites on the menu include prime rib, shrimp and grits, and the Jack Daniels cheese burger.
This home has 2 washers, 2 dryers, 2 hot water heaters, 3 microwave ovens, and 3 refrigerators for your use. The house has Comcast for wifi/internet.
The house has a large dock area for sunbathing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, pedal boating, kayaking, or just lounging around on floats in the water. Relax and enjoy this peaceful setting at the Lake of the Woods. You'll be glad you did!
