An amazing weekender

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful stay at Walnut cottage with a couple of friends. It is an idyllic little autumn escape for strung out Sydney siders in the idyllically situated Burrawang, nestled in the highlands. The village is just lovely with nothing to do but enjoy long country walks, taking in the change of season to the tune of stunning 360 degree views of the southern highlands, and enjoying an afternoon drink at the Burrawang Village hotel with its stunning outlook. The cottage is absoluely perfect for facilitating relaxation, possessing absolutely everything you could want for a comfortable and plush stay. Other reviewers are spot on when they say that this is a well and thoughtfully equipped home. It had everything we could possibly have needed including a magnificent fireplace, very comrfortable beds, a fabulous deck and gorgeous garden as well as supplied a plenty. I cannot wait to come back and am recommending it furiously to all my friends. Michelle is the ultimate host, tremendously helpful and responsive in terms of providing suggestions for outings and meals. She even packaged up and sent home a number of forgotten items. Honestly cannot recommend highly enough.
