This was our first stay in a home like this. There were 7 of us, and we were very comfortable. Location was ideal - walking distance to Metro stop, grocery stores, pastry shop, and restaurants. I had to contact the Property Manager a few times, and she always responded promptly. If you stay here, bring some night lights and a bedside clock.
We were very pleased with our stay - great location, making it easy to tour the area. Wonderful kitchen. Thank you!
Perfect family house in a great location
Some of my family stayed here for a wedding and it worked out perfectly. The large downstairs bedroom with ensuite allowed the toddlers to have a contained area to play and nap. The house was clean and well stocked and within easy distance of the metro, shops and restaurants.
Great safe place to stay
This house was very comfortable. It has been recently renovated and is well maintained. The bedrooms in the lower level were spacious and well furnished. It was very convenient to the Metro station at Clarendon and the neighborhood seems very safe, even when we were returning late at night.
We would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to spend some time in the DC area.
Terrifically located, clean, comfortable house...
We rented both the lower and upper portions of this duplex for a multigenerational family Christmas week gathering. It was comfortable, well-stocked, clean and conveniently located near shopping, the metro and a fun playground. The owner was easily available to answer any questions we had. I recommend this this property and would gladly stay here again.
We were in town my father's funeral at Arlington so needed a place nearby for 6 adults and a car. Free parking and just 5-10 minutes away from the cemetery made this the perfect fit. (I recommend you let renters know not to park on the street - we arrived after dark and almost got a ticket while we were still figuring out the lay of the land. I saw many parking patrols and another car on the street was booted - Clarendon parking control doesn't mess around!) If you didn't need a car, the metro was an easy walk and an Uber into DC was another inexpensive option. Trader Joes and Whole Foods were just around the corner and there are plenty of restaurant options. The kitchen was well appointed and the only thing we missed was some type of kettle to make hot water for tea/hot cocoa (either electric or stovetop.)
The living room had a gas fireplace but we never could figure out how to turn it on. Some written instructions would be helpful. The windows in that room are quite drafty especially when sitting on the couch. We stuffed some towels along the windowsill but my 80+ year old mother still needed something around her neck and shoulders.
The bedrooms were quite comfortable and the bathrooms had what we needed. The home is taken well care of - very neat and clean which is the most important. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
