This home is located in Ouray's National Historic District and one block from Main St. Originally built in 1875, this home offer the best of both worlds: a piece of Ouray's Victorian history and all the modern conveniences you could wish for after an extensive remodel.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor, one of the bedrooms has a full bed and the other has a queen bed. Both
bedrooms have ceiling fans. One of the bedrooms has a flat
screen television with satellite tv/premium channels, a dvd player and Netflix accessibility. The living room offers a comfortable sitting area to relax ans socialize. The master bedroom is located upstairs in the loft. I refer to the master bedroom as a loft since does not have a door to close, but the only opening is the size of a door frame that faces away from the rest of living space, so t offer relative privacy. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a clawfoot tube with a shower attachment. A private balcony facing east is accessed from the master bedroom. The balcony is a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast

Tastefully decorated with a combination of the southwest and the Victorian style, this cozy, three-bedroom home with extra sleeping with a convertible sofa/bed in living room offers a great space to spend your time away from home. A favorite among the ice climbers, as it located within walking distance from the Ouray Ice Park.
After spending seven winters in the San Juans, Gary and Kate

We love spending afternoons and evenings on the covered front porch, facing west. The back porch which extends off the kitchen has a gas barbeque grill. The home is within walking distance to anywhere in town.
My family and I stayed for a week in this wonderful home in Ouray! We absolutely loved it!! The house was nice and clean. It had all of the kitchen utensils and dishes that it takes to make a nice dinner for several people. We had 11 people staying in this home and there was plenty of room. The location is perfect, nice to be walking distance to everything. We will definitely be back!! LOVE< LOVE< LOVE IT!!!
We had such a memorable stay in Ouray, Colorado, many thanks to this sweet little home we had the pleasure of staying at. We arrived after dark (would not recommend driving in the dark on Million Dollar Highway), but waking up to the view on the front porch the next morning knocked the breath out of me. Absolutely stunning. I envy anyone who calls Ouray home year-round.
This house has all the amenities to guarantee a comfortable stay. The sofas are SO comfy! There were only 3 people in our party, so this home was large and great for spreading out. We were very thankful to have in-home access to a washer and dryer as well.
I am so thankful that we decided to stay in Ouray, instead of some of the other nearby mountain towns. We made a couple of day trips to Telluride and the Gunnison National Park... but Ouray was a fantastic 'base' to come home to. Also, Ouray is considerably more affordable, and the neighborhood is cozy. We met so many wonderful people, shop owners and bartenders. Mr. Grumpy Pants Brewing Company is a must! Borrow one of the growlers from this VRBO. We also stocked up on 'Life is Good' apparel at one of the shops on the main street. And the perimeter trail had such fantastic 360-views! We had a memorable jeep ride up Imogene Pass with AMAZING meadows full of wildflowers in August. And my favorite coffee spot was the Backstreet Bistro. I plan on recommending this VRBO to all my friends and family.
What a great visit we had and this house was one reason!!! Great location in quiet neighborhood within walking distance of pool, restaurants and hiking trails!! I was a little worried with 5 girls that there was only one bathroom with a shower but we all loved the tub upstairs and it has a little shower handle so really was like a shower too. Everything was sparkling clean and well organized. We enjoyed the front porch for relaxing and the big kitchen table for playing cards. I slept on the pullout couch and it was super comfy!! We cooked one night and we had everything we needed. Such a great place!! We will definitely be back!! Ouray is a magical place!!
I stayed here for 5 nights in May.
The house itself is an adorable Colorado Victorian style. It's clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and with all modern amenities. The loft upstairs is snug but very comfortable and has a fantastic soaking tub - good for sore muscles after all of your outdoor adventures. If I were to criticize anything, it would be that the TV in the living room is placed somewhat oddly - high on the wall. But don't waste your time watching TV in this great spot.
What really makes this place awesome is it's setting. Right in the middle of Ouray, there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You are literally minutes away from multiple outdoor activities. There are several great hiking trails, the Ouray Box Canon falls (don't miss this), the Ice Park, and rock-climbing within an easy, 10-minute or less walk from the house. As an aside, San Juan Mountain Guides is great and can help you get your adventure-fix. Also, check out the hot springs pool - kids will enjoy it.
The town itself is also great. There are several good restaurants - I tried the Ouray Brewery and Buen Tiempo. Others looked great but didn't get to try them. All of this is an easy walk from the house - taking the car would slow you down.
Overall, I loved staying here and will definitely be back next year.
We are located 2 blocks from the Ouray Ice Park in Box
Canyon and 2 blocks from the center of town. Hiking
trails within 1 mile of home. The Perimeter trail goes
around the City of Ouray. Very easy to get to trail and about a three hour hike
