Come home after a fun-filled day of adventure in the San Juan Mountains to this charming, Victorian-style home conveniently located in Ouray. Complete with a front porch, a perfect place to take in the breathtaking views, sip your morning coffee, and relax.
This home is located in Ouray's National Historic District and one block from Main St. Originally built in 1875, this home offer the best of both worlds: a piece of Ouray's Victorian history and all the modern conveniences you could wish for after an extensive remodel.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor, one of the bedrooms has a full bed and the other has a queen bed. Both
bedrooms have ceiling fans. One of the bedrooms has a flat
screen television with satellite tv/premium channels, a dvd player and Netflix accessibility. The living room offers a comfortable sitting area to relax ans socialize. The living room has a flat screen television, featuring satellite tv/premium channels , as well as a gas fireplace. The leather couch in living room pulls out into a bed that sleeps 2.
The kitchen is well-equipped (gas stove, oven, refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, blender ,food processor, place settings, pots, pans, cooking utensils and much more) so you can conveniently cook at home during your stay. There is a washer, dryer too. the first floor bathroom has a beautiful walk-in ,tiled shower.
The master bedroom is located upstairs in the loft. I refer to the master bedroom as a loft since does not have a door to close, but the only opening is the size of a door frame that faces away from the rest of living space, so t offer relative privacy. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a clawfoot tube with a shower attachment. A private balcony facing east is accessed from the master bedroom. The balcony is a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast
or sit in the evenings.

What makes this House unique
We love spending afternoons and evenings on the covered front porch, facing west. The back porch which extends off the kitchen has a gas barbeque grill. The home is within walking distance to anywhere in town.

Great price, in town location, clean and comfortable
We stayed in this property while in Ouray to climb ice. The house is located right in town, a few blocks from everything. It took less than 10 minutes to walk to the Ouray Ice Park each day.
For a 3-bedroom house with an additional pullout couch the property was reasonably priced. Actually I couldn't find anything comparable with an in-town location.
The home is really clean. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat at home. The toiletries, soaps and detergents were all natural products, which is a plus for our family.
We spent a lot of time on the front porch in the afternoon, soaking up the sun and socializing. The upstairs bedroom also has a deck, which I imagine would be nice in the morning hours (maybe more of a spring/summer/fall thing!).
We look forward to staying at this location during our next visit to Ouray.
Thanks for the review Kate:
Cute house in great location
My family stayed here for the Imogene Pass run, I hope we can do the same next year! It's close to everything yet off the main drag. About 10 min walk to the hot springs and about 1 block from the start of the Imogene run! We had a 3 yo & 1 yo and the house was great for them. We just had to move some furniture to make sure the 1 yo couldn't get on the stairs. No complaints at all, I hope we can stay here again next year!
Worked out better than I imagined. We visited on the porch, the neighbor was nice. The house was clean clean clean. Lots bigger than it looks.
Perfect spot for our vacation!
This house is awesome! The location is close to any activity you would like to do.....shopping, hot springs pool, hiking. Our family of 6, 4 adults and two children (ages 6 and 3) stayed for five nights and we could not have been happier with the place.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
Charming Victorian near Ouray activities
We loved our stay in Ouray. We walked into this charming Victorian and immediately were impressed by how comfortable everything looked. The home is nicely decorated and had everything we needed to make some delicious meals in its kitchen. It is located just a block away from Ouray's main street full of restaurants, shops and mountain activities. There are hiking trails nearby and you can see several waterfalls from the center of town. The owners gave us recommendations on things to do and restaurants to visit. They were spot on. We had a very relaxing time and this should definitely be your choice for Ouray!
We are located 2 blocks from the Ouray Ice Park in Box
Canyon and 2 blocks from the center of town. Hiking
trails within 1 mile of home. The Perimeter trail goes
around the City of Ouray. Very easy to get to trail and about a three hour hike
