About the property


Older rural dwelling set across the road and amidst one of Sydney's largest new subdivisions in the biggest growth belt in NSW.

2 kilometers from Schofields train station. A short bus ride or walking distance for many. Woolworths is across the road from the train station.The train takes 1 hour to Sydney city or 40 minutes to Homebush stadiums.

Most rooms have been freshly painted and the kitchen and bathroom are of a newer era than the main house. Timber floorboards throughout except carpet in the lounge room. Bedrooms are quite big with a good sized lounge room (with a single bed in it) and also an outdoor/indoor entertainment area. Plus a heated spa. Very Private with the front fenced off and vines covering it. With only 1 neighbour to the side which allows a bit more freedom than a standard residential dwelling. Note that neighbour does have a few rural animals. Air conditioner and ceiling fan in Master Bedroom and ceiling fan in Lounge Room. Pedestal fans throughout.

Very comfortable king size bed in master bedroom with singles in the other 2 rooms, plus a slide out bed under one of the singles and single bed in lounge room. Comfortable lounge seats with 4 recliners built in.

For those who enjoy a swim. Blacktown leisure centre (Stanhope) with indoor pools including a wave pool is 8 kilometres away. Wet & Wild is only 20 kilometers away, with Eastern Creek raceway very close to that for car enthusiasts.

For the shoppers or looking for food or drink. Rouse Hill town centre is only 6 kilometres to the East. With well known Pubs such as the Fiddler & the Ettamogah nearby. Marsden Park Industrial centre with Cosco, Ikea, Adli, Bunnings etc. is 7 km to the west.

Penrith Panthers now with an indoor skydiving, cable wakeboarding, golf games etc. is 30 kilometres away. Not far from that is the white water rafting centre.

Historic Windsor and the Hawksbury river is only 13 kilometres to the North for the Skiers. Plenty or room to store a Ski Boat on the property.

Pet friendly, but the fencing is not the greatest.

2 TV's with Foxtel premium package included. No pay per view allowed. No internet or phone.

This house is for those after something affordable for a group in a useful location. Expectations should be in line with an older rural house of its age. Currently only used as a Bachelor pad. Set on a large block of land that is not fully manicured, with some old sheds that are not for use. But room to run around or kick a ball.

Garage not included, but there is an old carport. There will be some cars, caravan and trailer being stored beside the house, but are out of the way and do not affect the usage of the house.

NOTE: The owners will be uncontactable over Xmas until the 9th January. So if there are any issues the renter will need to resolve for themselves.

View 9/10. But the place badly needs a makeover

View is beautiful but unfortunately the rest of the experience was poor. They did quickly replace the fridge that was broken but the whole place needs a makeover at the prices being charged.

Really lovely view , and good position, furnishings and bedding disappointing , very old , lounge torn and dusty , a musty smell throughout

Owner's Response: Lounge has now been replaced. Was closed up quite a while before this winter stay. Keeping the furniture minimal to make the location and view affordable, but have always had good feedback to the comfort.

The view was wonderful, facilities excellent and I just loved the location. So close to facilities and the extras provided in the region - swimming pool, adventure playground, fishing, Friday night concerts on the foreshore and not far from all the attractions in Newcastle.
