Quality, executive 2 bedroom apartment within walking distance to Hobart city centre.

Beautifully furnished, Apartment No 4 has recently been renovated from top to bottom and is like new inside. Situated at the end of a dead-end street, it is one of four apartments in a character 1950s art deco building. With a beautiful park in front and a tree-lined rivulet behind, this apartment is very private and peaceful.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking up a storm, with full size oven and cooktop, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dish-drawer dishwasher. Not the cooking type, then take advantage of the central location and eat out in one of the many fantastic eateries that Hobart has to offer (we have a few suggestions in the apartment, to get you started!).

The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and the luxury of a heated floor. There is also a full laundry with a washer/dryer.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a walk-in wardrobe and the other with twin singles and a built in wardrobe. Great for 2 couples travelling together or for families. Or maybe have the place to yourselves, for a romantic weekend away or as a base for your business travel (a great alternative to a hotel room).

Easy walk to the city centre, historic Battery Point, Salamanca, the University and the village of Sandy Bay.

There is a lovely sunny courtyard to enjoy the outdoors. A reverse cycle air-conditioner will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. The apartment is fully insulated and has double glazing, very important for those chilly winter nights. The master bedroom also has a panel heater and there is under-floor heating in the bathroom.

A LCD TV and DVD player, plus a selection of movies, will keep you entertained. There is also a great children's play area in the park across the road.


There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has twin single beds and a built-in wardrobe.


Apartment No 4 is situated at the end of a dead-end street, opposite a leafy park at the front and bordering a rivulet at the back. There is parking for 1 car available at the apartment.

It is about 1.5km from the city centre (about 20 minutes walk) and less than a kilometre from Sandy Bay Village and Battery Point. There are a number of good cafes and restaurants nearby. The University of Tasmania is only a short walk away.

Impressed - a cosy stay

Just the ticket for a long weekend in Hobart. Comfy beds, modern kitchen, walk-in shower. An easy 20 minute downhill stroll to Salamanca. So many little inclusions to make our stay great.

Bonus info: if you're checking out, have bags and leaving later there's a luggage storage in Liverpool St.

Very convenient place to stay

I enjoyed staying at Apartment No. 4. It was very quiet at night and nicely renovated. It's only about a 12 minute walk to Salamanca Market and a 5 minute walk down to Sandy Bay. The bathroom was large and well designed. Although I didn't use it, it's great to have laundry facilities for a longer stay. We could hear the people in the apartment above us first thing in the morning, but it wasn't a problem. The air con worked great for the chilly morning (well, we had just come from Sydney which recently had temperatures in high 30s and 40 odd!). My only complaint is the request that the crockery, etc., be emptied from the dishwasher prior to our department. Because check out is at 10am, you would have to use the dishwasher at night and then hand wash the stuff you use the morning because the load wouldn't be done in time. It's not a major item but we just didn't have time to wait until the dishwasher finished especially as the cleaner arrived promptly at 10am. Otherwise all good and thank you, we will definitely return!

Apartment No 4 - Hobart was an excellent apartment. Comfortable, great amenities, well presented and very close to Hobart and Sandy Bay shops. Parking was tight but the apartment was excellent.

Lovely apartment

We did enjoy our stay here overall, the apartment is lovely and well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. But we arrived late on the first night and there was no heating on. Despite the apartment warming up quickly the beds were very cold without electric blankets. Probably the biggest drawback was that the bathroom has a step up into it and I forgot it was there when I came out that first night, I had a nasty fall and hurt myself. Nothing broken but extensive bruising, also made me nervous that I was going to forget again so that wasn't much fun. Parking was tricky as others have said but with the great instructions from the owner it made it easier. We did not like that we weren't allowed to leave the heat pump on while not in the apartment either. We will not stay here again I'm afraid. It didn't suit us.
