This modern Malibu beachfront home is situated on a spectacular sandy cove. Designed by noted architect Ed Niles, the home has master bedrooms upstairs and down. Each level has its own granite-topped kitchen.

Steps lead to one of the most pristine beaches in West Malibu. Celebrity neighbors cherish the location both for its beauty and its privacy. Accessed via security gate with intercom, the house has a two-car garage, and extra off-highway parking is available on the owner's lot on the private road.

Amenities include flat-screen HD TVs, Fiber Optic 50/25Mbps Internet with Wi-Fi, plus docks for iPhones and iPods.

To really make the most of your stay, we can also help you hire a car, chef, bartender, yoga instructor, massage specialist, housekeeper, etc.

About The Owner

The property, situated on a hidden cove in West Malibu, has been in the owners' family since 1948. The house was redesigned in 1992 by noted architect Ed Niles. Owned by two brothers since 2010, the house has been refurbished inside and out. Travertine floors upstairs were refinished in September 2015, and new sliding screen doors for the picture windows were installed in November 2015.

Why The Owner chose Malibu

This secluded beach is in one of the most beautiful coves in all of Malibu. That is why it has been chosen as a film location by celebrities. It is conveniently close to Zuma Beach, Trancas, and Point Dume to the south, Leo Carrillo, County Line and Neptune's Net to the north.

We are a short drive up the coast from the Malibu Pier, Surfrider Beach, the Malibu Colony, Pepperdine University, Geoffrey's Restaurant and Paradise Cove.

What makes this house unique

Perfect location for swimming, kayaking, surfing, diving, fishing, standup paddling, skimboarding, windsurfing, or just relaxing!

Unique set-up can accommodate more than one family.

3.5 miles from Trancas Canyon/Broad Beach shopping center.

Little known fact: during the filming of the movie 'The Fan' the studio rented the house to provide 'green rooms' for actors Robert De Niro and Wesley Snipes.

Amazing Private Cove

We really enjoyed our stay here, a lot. The owner is very responsive. The house has a great set-up in that there is a separate living area downstairs, which allowed us to have a little distance from our teens - perfect! And the beach is amazing, a gorgeous private cove with virtually no-one ever on it.

Perfect Beach Home

We had a wonderful stay at this home on the beach in Malibu. The home is right on the beach, it has amazing views with dolphins swimming out front! The house has everything for a fun vacation, including outdoor shower and lots of beach toys. The layout worked well for parents with college kids and there's lots of room for a group to gather at mealtime. The owner was very helpful with tips about local grocery stores and restaurants. Perfect stay!

Très belles vacances!!

La maison est très belle et magnifiquement bien située. On ne pourrait être plus près de la mer et il y a aussi tout ce qu'il faut à 5km pour l'épicerie et le reste. Il y a aussi de très agréables restaurants à proximité. Le Proprietaire etait très gentil et disponible pour toutes questions. Le fait que la maison soit séparée en deux appartements à grandement contribué au sentiment d'intimité de mes parents qui étaient en haut et mon fils et moi dans l'appartement du bas. Je n'hésiterais pas une seconde à y retourner!! ☀️🌵👏

Best Beach House!

Great house on a great beach. Amazing views and the sound of the surf at night. Everything you need - just add groceries and settle in. Shopping nearby and good restaurants.

Plus the best sunsets you'll ever see.

Spectacular Thanksgiving!

My family from Minnesota had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This home was very clean and so well maintained. Chris the owner had the lights on to welcome us as we arrived and a great bottle of champagne to help cheer the holiday. The amount of detailed instructions helped transition into the home very easily. Deck and patio both offered wonderful views of the ocean and sunsets. The stairs made easy access to the sandy beach. Great surfing in front of the home! With the shops at Trances Country Market so close and Vintage Grocers making the food needs for the week so easy I high recommend this home for any time to rent. We had such a wonderful and relaxing week all agreed to come back for Thanksgiving 2016. Thanks Chris for all your help to make our holiday special!

Needs a cleaning

I stayed here with my cousin for a few days when she was in California for her daughters wedding. The location and view are amazing. The beach was clean and private. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. The floors were dirty, there were numerous spider webs, the screen door was sitting on the patio, and we encounter plumbing problems. For this type of rent I would have expected that the owners would have hired someone to actually clean the house.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry that you felt the need to complain, but are you sure you are just talking about my house? I know you rented another property nearby that had plumbing problems, but ours did not! As you can see from our numerous 5-star reviews, we are known for being caring and responsive to our guests' needs. If I had heard of any problems in a timely manner, I would have fixed them immediately. On the night my guest arrived she sent me a text saying, "We are here we are loving it" followed by a clapping hand emoji. There was no mention of any of the issues you cited. Afterwards she praised the general cleanliness of the house. Our floors were not dirty. We just paid thousands of dollars to have travertine tiles refinished upstairs, so they were smooth and pristine. The work was completed on October 1, and the floors were vacuumed and wet-mopped again on October 5, 7, 9, and on the day of your group's arrival, October 15. Once again, are you confusing my house with another property rented by your group? In any case, I believe your rating of 1 out of 5 stars is way out of line. We are constantly working to clean, maintain and improve the property, replacing fixtures and items as needed. Please accept my apology for any shortcomings, and know that we will always strive to make the house perfect for our future guests. Respectfully submitted, Chris
