This modern Malibu beachfront home is situated on a spectacular sandy cove. Designed by noted architect Ed Niles, the home has master bedrooms upstairs and down. Each level has its own granite-topped kitchen.

Steps lead to one of the most pristine beaches in West Malibu. Celebrity neighbors cherish the location for both its beauty and its privacy. Accessed via security gate with intercom, the house has a two-car garage, and extra off-highway parking is available in the owner's lot on the private road.

Amenities include flat-screen HD TV's, Frontier Communications (formerly Verizon) TV service with HD DVR's, Fiber Optic (FiOS) 50/50Mbps Internet with Wi-Fi, nationwide telephone calls and limited international calling plan.

To really make the most of your stay, we can also help you hire a car, chef, bartender, yoga instructor, massage specialist, housekeeper, etc.

About Chris Blakely

The property, situated on a hidden cove in West Malibu, has been in the owners' family since 1948. The house was redesigned in 1992 by noted architect Ed Niles. Owned by two brothers since 2010, the house has been refurbished inside and out. Travertine floors upstairs were refinished in September 2015, and new sliding screen doors for the picture windows were installed in November 2015.

This secluded beach is in one of the most beautiful coves in all of Malibu. That is why it has been chosen as a film location by celebrities. It is conveniently close to Zuma Beach, Trancas, and Point Dume to the south, Leo Carrillo, County Line and Neptune's Net to the north.

We are a short drive up the coast from the Malibu Pier, Surfrider Beach, the Malibu Colony, Pepperdine University, Geoffrey's Restaurant and Paradise Cove.

This is a wonderful house located right on the beach. My family spent four perfect days in this excellent house. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We couldn’t have ask for more in a beach house.

Fantastic location!

This was my family's first beach home rental vacation, and it was truly amazing! Close to everything in Malibu, and steps to a private beach, this was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had! Chris was responsive, and accommodating, and gave us recommendations for masseuse and chefs during our stay. I hope to make this an annual thing!

Relaxing getaway on a private sandy Malibu cove beach

This amazing property is a great spot for relaxing, reading and spending time with family. The property was well equipped with kitchenwares, beach towels, beach chairs and deck furniture, as well as comfortable and ample indoor seating. Beds were very comfortable, and sound of waves on the private cove beach was extremely relaxing. The cove has a true dry, sandy beach (which is relatively rare in Malibu) and provides great daily walks. We took advantage of chef and massage referrals from owner. Owner was very responsive as small issues or operations as questions arose. The only three minor negatives about the property for our purposes were 1) that the water and waves at this locations were too rough for swimming, and only allowed wading. We took the plunge one day that was slightly calmer but could not swim much; 2) the master suite downstairs has a comfy bed but is not accessible internally, only by an outdoor stairway and separate entrance (not a problem for us but might be for families with small children), and 3) there is no air-conditioning in the property. The ocean provides some ventilation, but during the heat of midday we needed the fans which are provided in the closets. At night leaving the sliders open gave us the sound of the waves, but overnight high tides generated very loud crashing and booming waves which wakened us each night. All in all, this is a marvelous spot to unwind and relax and enjoy a stunning private beach (only a few homes on this stretch). I recommend it if the description above works for you.
