***UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - NEW REFURB***

You may have heard that Couran Cove has new management as of August 2016. It's all true and they have:

- refurbished the beautiful Olympic infinity pool and kids pool

- upgraded the sporting facilities,including tennis court resurfacing

- repaired the island’s network of boardwalks, bicycle paths and walking tracks and

- spruced up the gardens

- provided free wifi access around reception area

AND NEW OPTIONS FOR EATING OUT as of Spring 2016- The fully licensed Spa Island restaurant is still serving great, inexpensive meals. The all new fine dining restaurant (open during busy periods on weekends) has moved to the refurbished Surf Club to make the most of the untamed, majestic surf beach and ocean views. The old restaurant site over the water in the marina has been replaced by a modern Tavern - The Marlin Bar. The boardwalk cafe has been reopened as the Shingle Inn where you can enjoy coffee, cake and more with waterfront views over the marina.

Security services are in place through-out the resort including the modern, world class marina.

At 75sqm, this is a very large apartment with a separate kingsize bedroom and two sofa beds in the loungeroom making it ideal for two adults and two children (three if two can share a double sofa bed).

The huge marble bathroom has twin sinks and a bath separate from the shower (even the toilet is in a separate room!)

Remember - even though you are booking through the owners, you have the same access to all resort facilities like any other guest!!

Our apartment is not only a better price, it is actually better equipped than the equivalent units in the Resort, with a renovated and larger kitchen, dishwasher, indoor dining setting (a standard unit only has a setting on the balcony - not so nice on winter evenings) and larger balcony dining setting.

The only thing we do not offer is in-room movies - but we supply DVD players (and a range of DVDs) and recommend you bring DVDs with you, which is a much cheaper way to go - especially for young children who happily watch movies again and again and again ...

SAVE ON HIDDEN EXTRAS (DON'T FORGET THE BIKES)

Importantly, while you can easily walk to the main resort facilities, because Couran Cove is such a large resort, pushbikes are the best way to enjoy it. We supply up to 6 pushbikes (you may be sharing with our neighbouring unit) at no charge. Couran Cove Island Resort charges $15 per bike per day, which can adds $60 dollars to a 2 day stay for a couple!

Couran Cove Island Resort charge $40 for a late checkout to midday. For $35 (Sun - Fridays) you can stay in our unit (if it is available) until the 5pm ferry departs.

Free WiFi access is available around reception area - although we just use our mobile's hotspot data.

If you book through Couran Cove Island Resort, you will be allocated to whatever room is next available. If position and view are important to you, then what we offer is knowing exactly what your experience will look like!

IDEAL FOR 2 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN - BUT WE CAN CATER TO MORE

We provide linen for the kingsize bed in the separate bedroom. Extra linen can be ordered for one or two double sofa beds in the lounge, each sleeps an adult or two young children. (There is an extra person charge if you need to use the sofa beds). For larger groups, we have an adjoining apartment (with interconnecting door) with a kingsize bed and another sofa bed.

If you love nature, you will love Couran. Nature and luxury amenities blend harmoniously together to create a truly unique getaway experience. Imagine waking each morning to the gentle sounds of nature, the call of native birds and the whisper of the breeze through abundant Banksia and rainforest. Watch the foraging wallabies from your balcony as you breakfast on your large waterfront balcony right on the beach looking down the lagoon.

Why is this One Bedroom Waterview Apartment different from the others?

A UNIQUE SUITE

We bought our two apartments in Couran Cove off the plan when we could pretty much choose any unit in the complex. We chose this position because it was north-facing (best for the morning sun and avoids the hot afternoon westerly sun) and right on the lagoon looking down past spa island along its length. Then we wanted it close to the pools and the restaurant on spa island - which is where you will spend most of your time when you're not in your unit.

As we gained special building permission, this is the only Waterview apartment in Couran Cove with an extended kitchen, dishwasher, an indoor dining setting and a larger balcony dining setting.

Compared to the Studio Waterview units in Couran Cove, this unit has a large, separate, kingsize bedroom. (If you wish, you can take both of our apartments the Studio and the Extra Bedroom - contact us for a special rate - and then you have two bathrooms and two kitchens - right opposite each other so they're very functional.)

GETTING TO THE ISLAND

Being an island, the only ways to access it are by ferry, water taxi or your own boat. There are very reasonable fees (with special discount vouchers) to moor your own boat in the modern, secure marina when you are our guest.

Otherwise, the ferry service runs from Hope Harbour, but check when you book as they are looking to run from Runaway Bay later in 2016. The cost of the ferry is $30 return per adult and $15 return per child (3-14 years, under 3 free).
