Driveway access & Boat trailer access limitations
Like many Taylor Bay properties the access track to the property is steep and has very tight bends. At times the driveway can be a bit rough. A low sports car would have difficulty using the access track as do front wheel drive cars. We use the access track with a rear wheel drive car (all year) however trailer access to the house and lake is limited and not recommended. Some people may find the access track a bit challenging however once down the access track you have premium lake access and water views, and a floating jetty to moor your boats. On one occasion after extreme weather (50mm rain in 2 hours) a delay in exiting the property occurred the vehicle a people mover van had to wait a couple of hours for the track to recover. We have also had reports of front wheel drive cars at times having trouble exiting the property.
If you have concerns with the driveway please don't hesitate to discuss these concerns with the owner.
Some guests have launched small boats & jet skis from the property however a 4wd tow vehicle is recommended as depending on the lake conditions a vehicle may become easily bogged. Towing a trailer up the driveway with a 2WD car would be challenging, or impossible and certainly damaging to the track.
The owners recommend that water craft are launched at the public boat ramp at Fraser National Park or the Eildon wall boat ramp and moored at the jetty for duration of the stay.
Trailers can be left inside the property at the top of the access track.
Please contact owners for details about driveway access and trailer access limitations.
Be aware that during periods of low water in the lake, the floating jetty may not be located immediately out front of the house but it will be located in a suitable and safe position as close as is practable, however water is always out front of the property.
Please contact the owner or request a telephone call to clarify any points of concern.

Peace and Serenity!!!
We had an amzing time at this lovely house with views to the lake and amazing wild life. Our 6 kids didn't want to go home as they loved the freedom, fishing quad biking, bon fires and feeding the birds. The house is warm, quiet and clean. You will find everything you need in the house including herbs and spices. The owners were always available to speak with with great comunication. We didn't have much reception but we could use the landline to call out if we needed. One thing you should know, is that the driveway is stip and you will need a back wheel drive to get down. However the owner went to great deal to explain and warn us before we booked. We'll definitely come back!!!
Our second stay at this house.
Extreamly comfortable house with fantastic water access. We have stayed at other Taylor bay houses and this is the best by far.
Owners are great people to deal with.
Mick, we're glad you enjoyed your stay.
Ah the serenity!
Great first time visiting Lake Eildon, house was fantastic, very comfortable, great deck overlooking the water, floating pontoon was perfect for boating, batteries are officially recharged!
Glad you enjoyed your visit
Great way to experience Lake Eildon
First time visiting the area and couldn't have been easier, house was ready to go with all the necessaries as soon as we arrived, fantastic views from the deck and great convenience with the floating pontoon for boating, very comfortable, batteries officially recharged!
Beautiful location - great property
We really enjoyed our stay at Denemere. Either relaxing on the front deck taking in the beautiful views or having fun on the water. Great stay
Thank you for the review, we're pleased you enjoyed you stay.
We are coming back!
Our third year at Lake Eildon at each time it just gets better! Our first stay at Denemere and it definitely lived up to our high expectations. Accommodation is just right for two families with the right level of comfort, convenience and value. The pontoon catered for our large boat as well as a couple of jet skis with excellent lake access. The deck is a highlight providing all the space you could want to enjoy the ever changing outlook and that well contemplated quote "how's the serenity?" Have rebooked our longer 2016 stay already - a week is just never enough!
See you in 2016.
The house is located close to National parks, State forests and on the water front of a large lake. The activities generally require your own boat or vehicle.
