This property has recently been given a 3 Etoiles/Star rating for 5 persons by Offices de Tourisme. The apartment has Wifi and is on the ground floor with direct access to a small terrace and communal garden. There is a ski locker and garage with internal access to the Apartment. Additional Internal parking may also be available a short distance from the apartment. The building is less than 100m from the nearest chair lift and cable car, open in summer and winter. The Apartment is fitted to a high standard, with traditional furnishings. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher/oven/microwave and a large fridge. T.V. giving access to the internet, DVD's, Games and a CD player are provided. In the entrance hall there is a boot dryer. In the family bathroom there is a full size bath and quality Grone shower with a new washing machine. In the double bedroom there is a new mattress, topped with memory foam. In the second bedroom, there are 2 single beds. In the living area there is a pull-out sofa bed, which is the size of a small double. Please note that an additional charge is made for bedding if there are more than 4 people. The Apartment has a south-facing sheltered garden area. In the summer outdoor furniture and a bbq are provided. For those people with limited mobility, there are 18 steps between the entrance and the apartment door.

The ski area in Les Houches is 'family friendly', the rest of the Chamonix Valley is easily accessible by bus, car and train. The bus stop is at the cable car. The train station is a 15 minute walk from the Apartment. By using the ski bus or the train, you can access the other ski areas in the Chamonix valley, which are world famous, with something for everyone. The train also allows you to access the ski areas of Megeve and St Gervais. In summer Mont Blanc is stunning, and cycling, walking and paraponting are wonderful!

Les Houches has a selection of good restaurants, with several just a short walk away. There are numerous bars and 2 supermarkets.

About Simon and Paula

We purchased the property from Jackie beginning of December 2013. Have always loved the variety of skiing available in Chamonix and have challenged ourselves with Valley Blanche on more than one visit. Our teenage children are keen snowboarders and feel that the situation of the property will offer us skiing in the winter and mountain biking and walking in the summer.

Why Simon and Paula chose Chamonix - Mont Blanc

Short downhill walk to Bellevue lift in the morning. When returning to the Apartment, you can exit the Kandahar run from the bridge to the road where again there is a short walk downhill to the Apartment. Close to Ski bus, excellent bakery, deli, bar, coffee shop and restaurants. In the summer there is a south facing garden for sunbathing/relaxing.

What makes this apartment unique

Les Houches has its own train station, which is 15 minutes walk from the apartment.When the Station Ticket Office is not open, you can buy your ticket on the train.You can access the ski areas of StGervais and Megeve. The Train will also take you to Sallanches and from here you can access Paris,Lyon and Geneve. In the other direction, you can access Chamonix and Le Tour.

Stunning and very well equipped.

All as advertised, we have stayed in Les Houches on many occasions and this apartment is the best equipped, kids loved the free Wifi which is a must with teenagers! We even managed to watch our favourite Netflix programmes after a hard day on the slopes. The apartment is next to one of the ski lifts so is ideally located.

Really fantastic stay, it's all the little touches and free bottle of wine on arrival that makes it so homely.

Bellevue Apts Les Houches

On arrival the apartment was warm and inviting. Everything was there to keep us going until we got to the supermarket.

The facilities in the apartment were first class and so close to the bars, ski rental and restaurants not to mention the two local ski runs.

Having the internet was an added bonus and a collection of DVDs and books that Xtravision would be proud of.

For a first time skier the resort was perfect. Weather was great for most of the time.

The apartment is so clean, comfortable and inviting and would definitely be back. I would recommend this apartment to everyone.

The range of wine, beer in the fridge was much appreciated. Maybe the only thing that we would have liked was extra towels (hand towels) dbut it will not be a deal breaker. Thanks to Paula and Simon for sorting out any issues we had before we arrived and for allowing us the chance of staying in this lovely apartment. We will return again.

A lovely vacation apartment highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was very well kept and maintained, perfectly equipped down to the last detail. Les Houches is a lovely town and the apartment is centrally located. There are many attractions and hikes within an hour drive. We were travelling with two young children and we had a great time - in the apartment and all it had to offer and in the area in general. Highly recommended!

Homely and well located

Great location for all the local amenities - boulangerie, tabac, restaurants and cafés. Les houches is a lovely village away from busy chamonix. The apartment was clean and well equipped including a great selection of DVDs and books. The owners sent very comprehensive information ahead of our arrival and have a very good arrangement for handing over the keys. Would definitely recommend to others and will return if in the area again

The Village is particularly beautiful in summer, where a real effort is made to decorate bridges and public buildings with stunning flower arrangements and displays. Our key hand over arrangement was designed, as many guests arrive late in the evening and want to access their accommodation quickly without incurring extra costs for late arrival.

Great apartment in perfect location.

A really lovely clean apartment with great facilities in an excellent loction. Particularly like the fact it has two bathrooms. Also has great TV and WIFI!

We did some Alpine mountaineering, white water rafting and mountain biking. The lift is very close so it's easy to pop back for a bite to eat.

Superb Apartment

We went mid-November. A tad chilly in the evenings but it’s lovely when the sun comes out; perfect for outdoor activities. Numerous walking and cycling trails in the local area with a quite outdoor climbing wall just up the road by Lac des Chavants. I highly recommend walking up Mt Brevent- stunning views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. Access to the trail can be found behind the train station and you can carry along the trail to the top and walk down the other side to Chamonix. Lovely well-presented apartment. Outdoor area is a perfect sun trap at lunchtime. Great location, stunning views with very good access to public buses to Chamonix and villages further along the valley. The local train station is only a 15-20 min walk away. All in all it made for an unforgettable holiday.

Les Houches is a small village, still largely farming, just 10 mins drive from Chamonix town.It is easily accessed, just 50 mins drive from Geneva airport, 15 mins from St Gervais station. From Les Houches a large number of ski areas can be accessed, including Megeve, Chamonix, St Gervais, Les Contamines and a little farther away the Portes du Soliel. 26kms from Les Houches, through the Mont Blanc Tunnel you can access Courmayeur and the Aosta valley.
