Why Phyllis Goff chose Brevard
The beauty. Nature surrounds and abounds. The peace. The proximity to so many activities. It is central to Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forests. Biltmore House is only 1 hour away.
What makes this Cabin unique
We have tried to bring the outside inside. We have used many reclaimed objects, like the 100 year old wormy chestnut, the claw foot tub, antique sinks in both bathrooms. The laurel handrail and stone fireplace are great focal points in our cabin.

Relax and unwind.
Had a great stay. Home is very nicely furnished and we really liked hanging out on the back porch. Very peaceful.
Thank you, Thomas! So glad you enjoyed your visit!
Thanks too, for leaving the place so tidy! Come back any time!
Four of us spent a Wednesday through Sunday morning here and it was fabulous. It was even cuter in person than in the pictures. Very clean, convenient, and comfortable. The king-sized bed was so soft, I wanted to take it home. We hiked every day and looked forward to coming back to this cabin for showers and a relaxed night in. The spacious back porch was a big hit. Perfect for unwinding at the end of the day with a book or starting out the morning with a cup of coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and had everything I needed, equipment-wise, to make a pot of Brunswick stew for dinner one night. We’ve all agreed we’d love to come back. Phyllis was always fast to answer questions via email too. Great experience.
Thank you for the review, Melissa! We try very hard to make our guests feel at home and comfortable. God has provided us with such a beautiful area to live and work in, that makes it so doable. Come back when you can!
Wonderful Mountain Retreat!
My family of 5 (and dog) thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful mountain get-away for the 4th of July holiday. This house surpasses its description, offers all of the comforts of home, and is perfectly located to both the town of Brevard offerings as well as the essence of mountain relaxation. A definite repeat retreat, this home will not disappoint.
Thank you for such a nice review, John! Glad you enjoyed your stay. You’re welcome back anytime!
Lovely cabin in the woods
Great cabin- close to Brevard. The extra details were so nice on the house- lovely wood on the stairs. We loved the huge porch on the back of the house. Phyllis was very easy to communicate with & quick to respond.
Thank you for the kind words, Alta! We enjoy making the cabin special with the little details for our guests. Hope you'll come back soon!
We loved this cabin! It was everything we were looking for. Nice secluded location, peaceful with everything you could hope for! Will definitely be back!
Thank you, Justin! So glad you enjoyed it!
Comfortable beds and awesome back porch
This was a weekend trip for us and we loved the cabin. Very comfortable beds, special little touches like antique sinks in the bathrooms and one of the nicest back porches ever! I was up at least an hour before my cabin mates and enjoyed that time with a nice cup of coffee and nature. Couldn’t ask for a better cabin.
Thank you for the great review, Angie! So glad you enjoyed your weekend!
After turning onto Chestnut Cove, go straight until the pavement ends, go up steep hill. Chestnut Haven is the first house on the left after gravel road begins.
Chestnut Haven is located just 7 miles outside Brevard, NC, a small "Maberry like" town. Good food downtown, antique & gift shops. We are central to all the forests, state and national -- Gorges, Dupont, and Pisgah are all just a 20 minute drive from the cabin. Great hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails.
