Guestbook comments from the owner

2nd time staying and enjoy the clean, functional home. The east facing view has the mutli layer view with many birds including wild turkey. Also like how it is centrally located to the parkway, Linville Gorge, ski resorts and Boone NC, plus the owners are nice and accommodating. I recommend it!

Our family of 3 had plenty of room. The home was beyond our expectations. The best part was the amazing view!

A Home With A Spectacular View of the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental home is on the TOP of a mountain in the Seven Devils community near the popular attractions of Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock and Boone. The view of the mountains from the deck is truly spectacular!!! We ate almost all of our meals on the deck, enjoying the view in the cool mountain air. The house is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay.

The owner Mark responded to all of my e-mails in a timely manner.

If you have thrill seekers with you, they will love the Zipline attraction just minutes from the house. Not for the faint of heart!

Looking forward to our next stay soon !!

Perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

I've been coming to the High Country of North Carolina for 4 decades! Until 5 years ago I always had a family cabin to stay in at Linville Land Harbor, that is until we sold the property. I've been renting from VRBO ever since. This was the first property I've given a perfect score of 5 stars. Location, size, comfort and access to everything the area has to offer was spot on! This cabin sits 3 miles up in the Seven Devils Community right off the 105. Beautiful views from the deck and wrap around windows really put the stamp on our stay. 8 miles north you're in Boone. Another 4 miles past that and you're in Blowing Rock. 3 miles south and you're in Banner Elk and right around the corner from Grandfather Mountain. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just a few miles away in either direction. White water rafting, zip lining, hiking, restaurants, movie theaters...all within 15 to 20 minutes. One of the best hikes in the area is just 1 mile south on 105, the Profile Trail that takes you up to the top of Grandfather Mountain. This trail is well marked, and a good challenge even for athletes like myself, wife, son and daughter. Total time on the trail was 4 hours. Owners were great to work with and were very prompt in answering all my questions. Thumbs way up!

Beautiful view. Property needs TLC

  • 3 of 5

Beautiful mountain top property with outstanding views. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable but needs TLC to bring maintenance up to date with neighboring properties. Housekeeping was nonexistent prior to our stay but miscommunication between owner and housekeeper seemed to be the problem however owner compensated for oversight. Truly a mountain top drive to cabin and plenty of things to do in neighboring towns especially if you like to hike

Centrally located between Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, the home offers quick and easy access to all the attractions and activities of the High Country. You can make the three-hundred yard walk to Hawksnest Snow tubing and Zipline or the short drive to Ski Beech, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Sugar Mountain. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only a few miles away. Enjoy golfing, hiking, rafting, fishing, biking, or rock climbing in the summer, skiing, tubing, sledding, and ice skating in the winter, or fine dining, wineries, art galleries, and the theater year round. For the kids there is Tweetsie Railroad, gem mining and other activities, including two trout-stocked ponds in Seven Devils. The house sits on a quiet dead-end street, so there is never any traffic or much noise.
