We have vacationed in the Asheville area over the years and we love everything the area has to offer, to include white water rafting, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, great casual dining and shopping.
Our property is a great place to hike the acres and surrounding nature preserve, watch the beautiful sunsets from the back porch and relax away from it all, yet still close enough to town.
Having seen the pictures showing the spectacular views I was excited to arrive at the house to say the least. Unfortunately I did not arrive until night time (it is some what difficult to traverse the backroads at night but just go slow) so I wasn't able to see the full landscape until morning. But in the morning it was truly spectacular. The house is on top of a large hill that overlooks everything you want to see in Asheville which is large expanses of rolling green hills. The house is also very well kept with everything you need to have a fun weekend. The drive to the house from asheville is about 30 minutes but it really is a nice drive going through the farm land and back country that you might not otherwise see staying downtown. So if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay, this is definitely the house you want to visit.
The home was so lovely! It was very well kept and clean! The owner was very nice and even mailed a bag back to us the we had forgotten. There is a gravel road going up to the house thats a bit intimidating, but my car handled it easily with new tires. My friend had an older vehicle with well used tires and she struggled getting up. I would definitely advise having tires with good tread! But once you make it up there the view is breathtaking. All you can see is mountains! Its not that far of a drive to Asheville! The house is secluded and private! Also it can be extremely windy, which sounds neat from inside the house! We very much enjoyed our entire stay! Definitely considering coming back to this home!
Our group of 7 adults and 3 dogs had a great time at Paradise Peaks. The view was amazing, keeping us on the deck even in the cooler weather. Between the pet friendly property and easy access to Asheville area, we will definitely be back!
What a great weekend we had at Paradise Peaks, the views from the deck are breathtaking. The information sheet was really useful (if only I had read it all before we set off) and I especially recommend arriving during the daylight if you can, as the drive up to the house was far more intimidating in the dark but we managed it even though it had obviously been raining quite heavily before our arrival. The house is clean and well equipped, my son especially loved the large DVD collection for him to chose from. There was everything we needed for a great weekend getaway.
