We rented this Cabin for my 60th birthday. Wow, what a find. The place is great in every way.
Hot tub on the deck. This place has everything that you need to enjoy yourself, just bring your food. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Lots of linens, cookware, and dishes. Fire pit and bbq grill- just bring charcoal. Steep gravel and dirt driveway, adds to the character of this place. The views are Amazing. The Cabin sits on top of the hill, all by yourself. Very quiet. Large front porch with a swing, table, and 2 rocking chairs.Trout streams all around.
Where to begin....My daughter, mother, father & I just returned from a week long stay at this gorgeous cabin. The cabin is so cute with everything you need. The rockers & swing on the front porch with the mountain views where the perfect place to begin and end each day! The fire pit area was perfect with lots of seating and plenty of fire wood. The cabin is so well equipped with anything and everything that the only thing you need are groceries! Dan and Sheyla were wonderful to deal with.....from the first contact inquiring about the cabin to calling them during our trip with questions they were a joy to work with. You are all alone once you reach the cabin which was nice to just sit back relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains! The driveway is your typical mountain driveway, gravel, winding and somewhat steep...take it slow and it's all good. If you get a chance while you are here take Winding Stairs Road all the way to Highway 19 - it's a gravel road that winds down the mountain - but the views are amazing!! The way up to the cabin (Wayah Rd) has gorgeous river views with lots of pull offs to enjoy the river and lots of photo opportunities.
Would definitely rent this cabin again if I am in the area!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this little slice of heaven!!
My husband, two kids, two dogs and I were in heaven for 8 days. After getting over the initial shock of the steep driveway after a long two days on the road, we arrived to a cabin that brought smiles to everyone's faces. Dan and Sheyla always responded quickly and were so gracious. The only things we purchased were our groceries and a bag of charcoal. Everything else was well stocked and very clean. The kids became quite proficient at building the campfire in the evening and I became even more proficient at uncorking a bottle of wine and dipping into the hot tub. My husband spent most days fishing and teaching us all how to fly fish. The kayak and paddle-board rentals at the nearby marina were affordable and very fun on the beautiful Lake Nantahala. Overall, this was the best VRBO vacation that we have taken in our 14 years of traveling. Thank you so much!
My husband and I stayed in this wonderful cabin with our pup for a week. This was the most relaxing trip we have ever taken! We only left the cabin 2 times during our stay, to do a few scenic drives. Other than that, this place offered us everything we were looking for. A great view, privacy, a fire pit, jacuzzi, and property to wander around on. We didn't want to leave!!! But if you do decide to venture out in the area, there is so much to do and see. The Nantahala area is absolutely beautiful. Also the owners Dan and Sheyla were great! Very prompt responses during the booking process and also called a few times while we there to check in and make sure everything was going good. They also allowed us to check in a little early since we were driving from Michigan, which was very nice. All in all....wonderful stay! We have told everyone we know about this quiet little getaway!
If you want privacy this is the cabin for you. Everything was exactly as advertised. I would recommend renting this cabin to anyone.
Rock on the long covered porch - read - gaze at the stars - watch the sunrise and sunsets sparkle thru the far off mountains and valleys. Massive fire pit just steps from the rustic cabin with stumps for seats and a huge stash of fire wood. Teensy equipped kitchen - nice dining area. Comfy bed. One of the most peaceful vacations we've ever enjoyed in our long 62 year marriage. Exactly as described! Janie and Dick
