About the property

Three bedroom apartment facing north, overlooking the beautiful Cylinder Beach, one of Australia's greatest and safest beaches. The apartment is situated in the best position on North Stradbroke Island and is located on the second level surrounded by lush tropical forest and rolling surf. The beach has direct access with no roads to cross. Between May and October whales can be viewed from the patio. The Cylinder Beach Headland protects you from south easterly winds. The apartment is centrally located, only 200 metres to the supermarket and a five minute walk to the Point Lookout Hotel. If driving to the beach is not your preferred option, then this unit is in the ideal position. Please check rates for pricing for your preferred dates.

The Apartment

The apartment has three bedrooms with bedding for 7 people. The main bathroom has a full size bath and separate shower with rain mist shower head. The main bedroom has a walk-in robe with ensuite and private balcony. The main bedroom bed is a king size ensemble. There is also an 32 inch LCD TV in the main bedroom.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a single bed with built in robes. The third bedroom has two single beds and robe. All bedrooms are screened with ceiling fans.

The apartment has an open living area with lounge and dining room. Dining table seats 8 people while the lounge room contains a 46 inch LCD TV with Foxtel cable network. The patio, overlooking Cylinder Beach, has an extendable outdoor table for up to 8 people, a sunlounge and barbecue. The unit is tiled throughout with rugs in all rooms. The apartment contains a dishwasher, front loader washing machine with washing powder and dryer. Please check car ferry timetable on Stradbroke Ferries website to ensure availability prior to booking. Preferred ferry times cannot be guaranteed, especially at late notice. Linen and bath towels are supplied and beds are made prior to arrival. A starter pack is provided to guests. This includes soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. In the kitchen there is a supply of dishwasher powder, cloth, tea towel, washing up liquid and washing machine powder. Please note these items is not intended to last during entire stay but are provided upon arrival. Products are not replenished during stay.


The kitchen contains all the appliances required to make your holiday as easy or as sophisticated as you wish. There is a rice cooker, blender, mixer, wok, microwave, coffee grinder, coffee plunger, sandwich toaster and dishwasher. Also a 3 burner gas barbecue can be found on the patio. There is outdoor seating for eight people with an extendable table on the deck. Also on patio is a sun lounge.

Excellent location, beach views!

Spacious apartment in awesome beachfront location. Everything u need for a comfy, enjoyable holiday. Walk to foodworks, coffee shops, Straddie Hotel. Quite a few stairs to access apartment, something to keep in mind if travelling with small children, people with mobility issues. Well equipped kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay despite the rain.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Mooloomba 2, what a great position by the beach, apartment well-equipped, BBQ on deck was great. A really lovely place to stay, and within walking distance to the Hotel which is a great spot for meals/drinks.

nice property ..good location

enjoyed position ..disappointed in small details...first place ever stayed where only couple of sheets of toilet paper left on each roll and no new rolls provided...had to buy toilet paper day after tea towels or hand towels provided...when asked about lack of tea towels toilet paper etc ...someone placed tea towels on floor near screen door...without telling anyone in unit...otherwise that aside nice place to stay

Owner's Response: A starter pack of toiletries is provided with every booking. This includes soap,toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. As well as this, kitchen products such as dishwasher powder, clothes and dish washing liquid are provided. It is only a starter pack and daily replenishment is not provided for toiletries as is general practise with rental properties. It is not a hotel with daily service. When the guest indicated they could not find tea towels, some were provided by cleaning staff. The cleaner knocked on the door and after no response they where left at front door.
